  1. You should keep your options open as much as possible. I originally was going to major in general business/economics, but found that the work required a commitment that I wasn't willing to fulfill. I could have done it, but found that I wouldn't have enjoyed working in that for my working life, so I just used what I had and made it into a minor.

I found that I did very well in the geography department and chose a major in general geography. It wasn't until recently that I realized how close I was to also getting another major in physical and a minor in urban geography. I won't bore you with the details, but I just happened to have a significant number of classes shared by the same major and minors.

What I want to emphasize is that when you're in college, be sure you realize how difficult future classes will be before you commit to your major(s). I found economics easy at first, but had to build upon skills from the first classes. If you find one aspect of a major difficult, be sure to realize if you will have to build upon that.

Of course, you don't have to worry about that now. Just concentrate on HS, but keep college in mind and ensure you know EXACTLY what you want to achieve before you commit to it.

  2. I'm debating capital punishment and going against my own opinion to see just how effectively I could be against my own logic. If you want, it's pretty active right now in Kavar's corner.

I am now a senior at UW Whitewater going for two majors and two minors. The number of classes I need now are pretty small, but they are not all available to take, so I'm forced to take another four subject that I really don't need.

I'm not buried with work yet, but that'll soon change. I'm stuck on SiD and need to leave that for a while. I'm keeping on K3 so I don't keep you two waiting on that.

  3. How's HOP today?

So you're a junior this year? I think that was my favorite year in HS school because you were old enough to be respected, but didn't have whiny brats looking up to you to set a proper example... that's what seniors are for.

Anything of interest in your world?

  4. I'm not surprised. Of all the Star Wars cast, Ford was the most successful afterwards. My favorite movie is stared by Ford and Liam Neeson. (K-19) I hated the fake accents though.

I never got a dedicated game council because I never liked the idea of getting something that ONLY could be used for wasting time. I also don't like the elaborate controllers and coordinating the patterns, so I just opt for a keyboard. I might have considered a PS3, but those are ancient and soon to be replaced by newer models.

  5. Do you know how many times I played KOTOR?

I don't know that myself, but it really sickens me to imagine just how many hours went into that. What does any of it mean now? Nothing relevant. At least when I do things such as writing SID, talking to you and debating online... it at least yields something that I want to keep forever.

I think that the best thing would be for me to just wait until I'm well into the semester before considering it. That way, I could use it as a kind of incentive for when the semester is over. Or when my spirit is very low and I need something to lift it. I also don't like the idea of getting a game council just for that one game.

  6. I know what you mean of Sleheyron. Yuthura was the result of their decision to scrap it.

It's only two days before the force unleashed comes out and I'm starting to consider getting it. The problem is that I know how addictive it will be... for now I should keep my mind on more serious matter. Are you going to spend two days waiting in line to get one of the first copies like so many SW freaks out there? (It's not a serious question. I know you wouldn't)

I know that it's getting pretty late in the UK, so when you want to call it quits, just say so.

  7. I don't have a television to watch. Unless you are referring to something on Youtude. No, I am not watching that.

I think that losing a party member would have been a good thing and a nice change from the storybook ending of the original game. I don't like the HK 50 subplot. HK 47 is humorous, but when you start making him more important than a simple assassin droid, it's not that great anymore. I didn't want it in kotor II and don't want it in III.

I also hope that the party could be extended so you could choose to have Mira/Hanharr and Brianna/Desciple by the player's choice. I just got through the Hanharr part in the DS game I played and found he's more complex than I originally thought... I still loathe the character.

  8. I'd agree with that... how often can you hear geezers like Vrook acting like they know everything and never getting what they deserve? One thing about Huntress I like is that it does not revolve around the jedi or anything other than skill or luck. The jedi do have the disadvantage of being more like Superman... a character I really hate... than real people.

I saw the team gizka on Youtube. I think it's great that they are restoring the content, but really would rather see TQFR (KOTOR III) than anything else. Still, I am glad to see the enrichment of a broken plot.

What part of the restoration project peaks your interest most?

  9. The Original trilogy had a decent storyline, but I just couldn't associate myself with any of characters. In addition, the original didn't hit very hard on the jedi/sith ideals... if you could call it that. I didn't understand why Luke HAD to not get angry because they never explained it.

KOTOR was much better because it was virtually entirely about the jedi instead of them just being a part of the conflict. TSL I think was the greatest of all the SW storylines because it extended the attributes of the jedi even further and didn't paint the characters as black and white, good/evil, light/dark. I didn't really care that the game was poorly ended and lacking in the character interaction because the overall plot was that impressive.

That is more than you may have wanted to read, but that's just my thoughts on all the SW plots. PS: I agree with Solo taking Atton's place.

  10. No never tried it. I like Sim city 4 especially because it reflects urban planning more than the others.

I watched star wars more times than I want to know. It used to be an obsession a decade ago, but I eventually got over it. Now I'm hooked on KOTOR.

  12. I've been squandering my time on the computer playing sim city 4.

Is Episode VI any better the second time around? (third, fourth, ect.) I haven't watched any in a long time.

  13. Good evening to you.

  14. Right. Everyone knows what they're doing.

I'm starting to get some inspiration for my new version of chapter two and will sit back for a while and let the words flow. I'm getting offline shortly, so if there is anything else, you should bring it up now.

  15. Got it. I was not expecting them to like or understand each other, but both try to make the other see things their way. One thing I want is for Bastila to say 'even after everything that's happened, you still blame the council for your exile.'

And then Alayna gets enraged for legitimate reasons. This would be meant to show that even though Alayna's anger was justified, she was hurting herself by not letting the matter go.

I bring this up so that if you want to bring some conflict between them in chapter two, this was what I hoped to have in the near future.

  16. Canderous is not out; he can simply be pushed back for a chapter or two. He is there to enrich the plot, but he is not important... yet. I just thought the plot should be established first and then move on to the other characters.

I also want to ask if you would let me use Bastila for a coming chapter. I would like for Bastila to ask why Alayna was so troubled over the opinions of dead people(the council). That could be where Atris is brought to Bastila's attention and show some of Alayna's flaws.

I know I already asked about Alayna watching her trial every day, but I would at least like to consider that she does so after Malachor V was shattered. Bastila could then show Alayna the folly of feeding her anger and giving more depth to both of the characters. It's a long way off, but would this be a good way to get Bastila and Alayna talking and understanding each other?

  17. You hate Shaksphere? Or do you hate that your father's girlfriend likes him?

I don't think any normal person can like that garbage... I can appreciate the skill in his plays, but hate the actual products. I would really hate seeing a very simple person really enjoying it while I cannot stand it. It kind of makes me wonder if I'm that simple or the other person is more sophisticated. Were you coerced into reading his plays in HS?

  18. So the Ebon Hawk would simply arrive and I end my piece with Alayna and Visas going down the boarding ramp? If that's what you mean, then I will leave it there.

I will get around to the chapter tomorrow. This is not a chapter I favor, so assume I'm just setting up the stage for Bastila and Carth. Anything else you need?

  19. I hate this place and want to get out of here... hopefully with a diploma in my hand. I have just been aiming for one major when I started, but now am looking at two as well as two minors... problem is that these kind of degrees are becoming a dime a dozen.

I'm not here to make friends and even if I were, there are no interesting students around. I am closer to my professors than almost everyone else. How very demeaning.

  20. Here's my piece of chapter two summarized. I just need to know where you want me to leave off. It doesn't matter to me as long as you have a proper foundation for Bastila and Exile's meeting.

The Ebon Hawk returns and Alayna requests to dock at Koonda. Atton gets on the comm and does his bit and directs them to the enclave's hanger. (the ship at the Koonda landing pad is Bastila and Carth's ship, but they haven't yet reached the enclave) She and Visas converse about the last two weeks to reveal where TSL left off. When they land, then Bastila and the Exile will first meet.

How should they first meet each other?

  21. I didn't know you posted 'Huntree' on fanfic.net You'll soon have two, but I guess yet another compliment from the same person won't mean that much. I have nine reviews, but only three people repeating to reply.

As nice as that is, it still boils down to really very few who REALLY like it. I know how it feels to not get any replies, though. I kept thinking that SiD was just something no one really liked enough to read or reply. I think that if you keep adding to 'Huntress,' you'll get some more reviews. I would advise that you not get discouraged because you already have an established fan base on lucasforums.

  22. I got 'god bless' so I know how it feels. I haven't been around that much either, so no one's holding up the story for the other two.

I am going to use Atton for my piece for a short, unserious bit. Then I'm mainly going to just do about half of what I normally would write to just describe some more of where TSL left off and where K3 begins. I'm not going to progress the story, so you just write whatever you want after the Exile and Bastila meet the first time.

How would you like me to leave off (in detail) I have no preference, so you should state how you want both to meet. If Bastila comes on a ship... Visas is alongside the Exile... that kind of thing.

  23. I have to coordinate the next chapter in K3 with you to ensure that we both know where chapter 2 will go. I know I just suddenly pulled Canderous w/out warning, but I just can't fit him into chapter 2. I also thought it would give you and HOP more room to work.

I had intended that the Exile would arrive at the Enclave before Bastila and I would end my piece with right before they start talking. That would then allow you to have both characters meet however you prefer. This is what I had in mind, but if you have a better suggestion or preference, then tell me.

  24. I'm not asking that you go through it again or to do so now; I'm simply telling you that I took your criticism about the past/present tense problems. Most of it is the same, but I often reword choppy subjects into a smoother one. I do add an additional detail now and again, but I have added to the first Bastila/Yuthura encounter to a significant degree. That is truly to most significant change so far... the rest are to enhance or correct what's already done.

I haven't really been trying to remember, but often I've had unsettling dreams that are not scary, but depressing or leave me troubled the next day. I haven't gotten much inspiration... yet from them.

  25. I'm alone and without any distractions... other than surfing the network and talking to you. I was hoping to get some work done, but I just can't understand why, with no distractions, I could possibly just sit back and let my work pile up.

I am also going back to SiD and doing another major overhaul. I hate how choppy my first several chapters were and I want to get them right. You'll notice that I am trying to emulate you if you want to read through it again. I'm only at chapter 6.

I've recently been remembering my dreams... ever since I spoke about it with you. I don't know if I'm remembering them because I subliminally want to, or that I am interested enough to remember. It's odd to describe, but if you've taken psychology, you would understand REM sleep and how we ALWAYS have dreams, but just don't remember.
