howdy jm...
I got an invite to your new jedi order modding group, and im just wondering... why?
(not htat i wont join or anything, im just curious as to why *i* got an invite )
-
alrighty, i got me mitts on The Tiger of Mysore.
I'll let you know how it goes!
-
It seems you have just been trolled on the internet in my thread. very badly, i might add.
Its happened to me before, (i dunno if youve already dealt with this kind of thing), but a tip: don't worry about it. just be apathetic, like water off a ducks back. its only the internet after all.

whats the reason behind your avatar and sig? (iirc, the model in KSE was called "contest winner" or something)
-
you accidentally posted you reply on your profile, not mine. common mistake, i do it all the time.
So, tell me about yourself. What do you like doing?
-
me too, but currently i'm building up my sw game collection. Ive got quite a few; there are just a couple that are eluding me. those, and the really old ones.
but i doubt any used bookstores around where i am will have many sw titles at all.

aye, ive heard about that children of the jedi book.
i can't really remember which ones where good ones (apart from the thrawn trilogy),
but something tells me Yoda: Dark Rendezvous is good. have you read it?
I also have a good feeling about Shatterpoint.
I think i didn't like Jedi Trial. The authors were ex military guys or something, and the book had ok military stuff, iirc, but the rest was like: military specialists trying to write romance into their book. ahh... no.

well, USE is out. no MP and low moddability probability...
i still think i'll get it though. you?
what were the last two horrible books you read?

yeah, i do have a question: how much is computer stuff in India? (systems, cards, games, etc)
here in NZ, entry level systems are about $1000-$1300. the high end stuff sells for about $2000. well, thats for the big retail stores sucking in the majority of the population. the savvy bunch know where the real deals are at: online stores. there, 1500 gives you fairly good gaming systems.
new games are about $100 at release, but theyre creeping up. nowadays you can find a rather salesman-y price of $119.
ah yes, the clock gadget. that's because i need to keep in touch with my contacts in the smuggling operation i have going. not really world domination - i leave that to those more inclined to such diabolical shenanigans. suffice to say, they wouldnt be able to carry out their nefarious plots without our shady services.

Hello Sabertooth
IIRC some time back you posted somewhere in the tech forum about upgrading your computer. JC, howd that go?
-
oh! i got mixed up while having too many profiles open at the same time... i thought you posted that to me! lol!
(im not a nosey parker)

im not a comic buff/junkie,im only a casual reader and dont really know what a "good" or "bad comic would be like.
but i can say that i am indeed enjoying the kotor comics.
novels, eh? yeah, ive read a bunch of 'em.
as of early 09 i had read almost every clone wars novel (perhaps missed two or three), the LotF series, and a few of the novels in between.
a really good series was timothy zahn's thrawn trilogy. i read the first two, but then someone went and lost the third one from my library!
just saw the current LF poll. you looking forward to any games? (mine is obvious from my post)
(^ i posted that message accidentally on my profile back in september. only realized now. lol)

ah yes, master replica FX. not force FX. slipped my mind.
what?! theyre discontinued?!
noooooooooooo!!!
yeah, a "sturdy" saber also on my list.
could you post pics of your stuff? that would be awesome
-
not really a prop aficionado (as i don't own any lightsabers - toys or replicas), but i really like the concept of lightsaber combat. But a force FX lightsaber is on my ultimate wishlist, along with a katana (decorative or a practice sword, called a iato i think. ) and a couple bokken so i can actually beat stuff up.
I also aspire to go to a sword school as a hobby some time. probably when i'm older and a tad more affluent lol.
you're a swordsman IRL. What do you exactly do?
-
ah. lol, i though it was for the fact that captain america is dead.
Ive only been a casual reader of comics except for star wars ones.
i'd read one or too here or there. I tried to follow the Ultimate Spiderman series because i liked the game, and the comic too. but i gave up on that. (library only had sporadic issues, and i wasnt willing to go dish out $50 nzd for each comic.

yo gta. i wonder... do you know much about the marvel universe? (your avatar and message seems to be what a marvel fan would use)
i have a question i'll ask anyway: The punisher is a dark badass "hero". He'll blow a bad guy's head to bits even if they plead for their lives. (somewhat refreshing... compared to the Dark Knight knowahtahmean?). My question is this: how do the other marvel heroes tolerate his presence? I remember reading a comic a long time ago in which some people where impersonating spiderman and killing people with wrist guns where spidey's web shooter would be. IIRC a whole bunch of th other superheroes were on his tail. I think he was thinking something like "...and who can blame them? they think ive gone rogue...".
if they reacted like that, how come they don't go punish the punisher?

yus! bait taken! :3
ive been renting a bunch o movies from the local blockbuster. a few of them were outstanding and have gone on my favorites list such as Blood Diamond and V for Vendetta.
Actually, the majority of the movies i watched were really great, but i saw about 5 a week for 3 or 4 weeks and now cant remember what movies i watched... what a strange predicament. :/
more recently ive been procrastinating things that need to get done by reading the kotor comics. have you read them?

i think its awesome too! this is exactly what i wanted when they announced they were releasing their glorious backlog on steam. but apparently DF 1 has no music, and DF 2 is buggy like crazy. another thing is that you have to be online to play a game; my comp doesnt have a constant internet connection. i recently got a game called Area 51 free from a PC World cd. It was free because it was "ad supported" (even though i didnt even see a single ad while playing the game) and needed to connect to the internet to start. that was really annoying; i couldnt play whenever i wanted to. i had to bring along a laptop and use ICS to get the game started. im also kinda old school: i like my games on cd.
but still, i might get it.. i mean, $20 USD for the entire JK series?!
i'd prefer to get them all on cd, but theyre ultra hard to find these days, and when you do, its really expensive. I found JA for $40 - i had bought it in 04 for $12. .
you think you'll get it?
-
Hey kurgan, since youve been around for ages, i thought i'd ask you: do we (LF) have a JA clan?
