If you missed out on a Max stuffed animal I would suggest you consider waiting for another run of them instead of these exorbitant prices on eBay.
-
Just a heads up: the Max plushie from uncute.com is back in stock. Don't pay the $250 for one on eBay. https://www.uncute.com/collections/everything-else/products/sam-and-max-stuffed-toy

Yeah, I thought my bid was going to be large enough to secure it. And my plan was just buy it, properly scan the art, and then resell this one shirt. Not this time it seems.

I think I tried months ago to join as an investor, even before the Microsoft purchase and it was too late. Unless you've seen a link that says otherwise.

Then I've screwed up. Off to eBay for me.

The goodies, such as the digital soundtrack and digital art book? That's all I can see on the Fig page right now. I can't recall why I didn't back this on fig when it was live. Are there other rewards I don't know about? Edit: Oh, you're probably talking about Psychonauts 1...

The Monkey Island box set from Limited Run Games
Scummbuddy replied to Udvarnoky's topic in General Discussion
Limited Run Games has sent out an update today to those who purchased this MI Anthology. Text Wow, umm, that's a crazy amount of signatures to be putting on a person. That's also holding up work Ron could be doing on their next game. If a signature takes 5 seconds, that extrapolates out to just under 14 hours of labor PLUS he can't use his hand to type on a keyboard for maybe a week. I'm sorry Ron! -
Sam & Max Hit the Road - Remastered Soundtrack
Scummbuddy replied to Laserschwert's topic in General Discussion
For me, the embedded SoundCloud links aren't being rendered, either by SoundCloud or MojoForums. So here's a direct link: https://soundcloud.com/laserschwert/sets/sam-max-hit-the-road -
Just exactly how did Purple Tentacle take over?
Scummbuddy replied to Lenzar's topic in General Discussion
All of Purple Tentacle's ill-gotten achievements didn't occur during that same night that Bernard is pilfering the Edison Mansion. I think you are seeing newspapers through the 200 years as his plans continue, all the way up to the year that Laverne crash lands into the future. We know it all started with a "Rash of Cow Tipping Baffles Police". -
Telltale's Sam & Max games getting remastered
Scummbuddy replied to Udvarnoky's topic in General Discussion
Oh right, the legit one still has Sam as the main body, holding Max in a headlock that may-or-may-not be hand controlled as well? And that's a little sad, but thank for the trip down memory lane. -

@Jake What ever happened to the Sam and Max costumes from SDCC? ComicConSM.jpg (951×658) (bp.blogspot.com) -
As a follow-up to my previous post in this topic about official T-Shirts, the official Maniac Mansion T-Shirt just sold on eBay for $225.

That is some high art, likely done by a cannibal. Please don't touch it, Herman. Also, please don't touch Herman.

Chronology of LucasArts Adjacent or post LEC Titles
Scummbuddy replied to Glokidd's topic in General Discussion
When you get to Insecticide, you will have to decide if you'll play the first half of the game on PC and then in order to play the second half you'll need to do a playthrough on the Gameboy 2/3DS. Or at least I believe Michael Levine at Crackpot released all of the PC 2nd half cutscenes at least. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA34DA2062BED2210 -
I was just going to suggest if you had time if you could see about making poster-quality work of those three concept art pieces. With them being sold off to lucky bidders years ago, I wondered if you could possibly give them a pass. And you did, and they are lovely! Thank you so much. I also just got time to read the nice article of you in Retro Gamer. Well deserved recognition. We can't thank you enough.

That's a really good idea as source material and perhaps using Adobe Photoshop Content Aware tool, it would be able to replicate it outwards? All of my boxes are still in storage until I get my house (this market is ridiculous!) so I probably won't be your source for scans just yet. As for the edging of the boxes, the bottoms has the logo, the UPC box and some other items blocking the marble. All the sides appear to at least have the logos/titles of the games. I do wonder about how much the marble pattern wraps around into the inside of the box lid but I don't think it is all that much. 😕

Does anyone have the Nightlight audio dramas of Grim Fandango? Their site is offline and they are also not in the mixnmojo media section. I never got into them back in 2002 but I was interested in doing so now. I wonder if the website is saved anywhere other than archive.org. I'd be interested in reliving the whole presentation. Thanks!

A bunch of them stormed ebay.com recently. I don't know who made them either but I snagged a vinyl set myself.

I just wanted to call out here that not only has @Laserschwert brought about these wonderful posters for the Mojo and other video game communities, but he was also a part in the restoration and creation of the Star Wars Despecialized editions with Pete Harmy, and was given a call out on this recent video. Thank you Laserschwert for all that you do.

Beautiful work and thank you for sharing!

I'm curious about the music in the coming game. Is there enough interesting material that a soundtrack release, even digital, is in order?

Anybody in the market for fake Indy game covers?
Scummbuddy replied to Radogol's topic in General Discussion
The difference in the background art styling and the pixel art actually works for me here. I'd suggest an update to the Sam and Max box inventory item to be something more Indy, but nothing is coming to my mind besides a Top Secret crate for Top Men. -
Will this have VR Freelance Police-Force Feedback? Wait, no, that's terrible. What spawned the idea of combining Sam & Max with this VR game? Not that I'm complaining... the world needs more Sam & Max. I need more time to prepare questions!

The Secret of Monkey Island, of course.
