  1. I started hardcore, but got upset when Cazadors killed me 10 mins into the game. Now I know they will kill you do matter what setting you are on at low levels. May try hardcore again my next playthrough. Ammo having weight is going to be difficult to deal with. :)

  2. Did not know that about Deathclaws, usually shoot them from distance with Rex and Veronica covering me up close. Veronica with a fully repaired Ballistic fist is deadly.

After I got my PC’s lock picking up to 100, I found Sniper’s Nest and more importantly the Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle. I would have thought it was the most powerful sniper rifle in the game, but according to wiki it is less powerful than the regular sniper rifle. It just fires a little faster, more accurate, weighs less and deteriorates more slowly.

I took the Jury Rigging Perk, but not really sure how useful the perk is with the ability to make Weapon Repair Kits. It does allow me to repair the Ranger Vest Outfit I took off Chief Hanlon dead body. The Ranger Vest Outfit offers no damage threshold, but I don’t care it looks cool. If it looks like they are going to get close enough to actually damage me I’ll retreat and put on something I looted from a corpse.

  3. All this New Vegas talk is making me want to go play it. Too bad I have 5 hours of work left and then 2 hours taking care my mother. I think I feel a strange 48 virus starting to attack me. That could get me out of work and can’t go around old people with a virus…

Can’t do that, I don’t know if I told you, but they took my mother’s drivers license away this month (her eyes are getting really bad). Now I am designated bill payer, lawn mower, dog walker and chauffeur.

Don’t know if there is a heaven, but I’m pretty sure there is a hell and I’m in it. j/k :xp:

  4. Feel the same about stealthboys (cheating), but I’m not above cheating. I think my major problem with stealthboys comes from using a hair mod. When using a stealthboy in 3rd person view it looks as though the PC is carrying her head around in her arms and the head on her shoulders has been replace by a bald head.

Next playthrough I'm doing the Stealth guy just so I can blow some stuff up. :) (need that achievement too, so it is win, win)

  5. May need to find the Super Wonderglue.

I found some weird items this playthrough like an Evil Gnome. No clue what it is for, but it is now placed in Caesars chair.

Tell you how much I use Stealthboys, I did not even think about using them in The Fort until your last message. I spent 3 hours killing, retreating and then killing again in The Fort (even Caesar) and not once did I think, “Hey I have 17 Stealthboys why don’t I use one or two.”

  6. Now you tell me. I guess I can't plug Mr. House back in. :)

  7. Looks like I can still do the independent Vegas branch. It did get a little messy when trying to get on the good side of the Khans. Playing more as a sweat talking, lock picking, computer hacking, bullet to the brain killer this playthrough so I hadn’t put anything into sneak. No sneak kind of made it a little difficult to retrieve information from The Fort since I had been killing Legion troops on sight. It turned into a blood bath and cost me a great deal of ammo. Now I just have to remember where I saw all that scrap metal. :)

  8. Hit a real annoying road block in my attempt to complete my siding with “House” playthrough. You can only have one way to deal with the Brotherhood of Steele. Since I have added Veronica to my party I don’t really want to do it House’s way. Really hope I can still finish the game going independent as I have played way too long not to complete this playthrough. I know I could compete the game siding with the NCR, but I already have that achievement.

I may have been giving Obsidian too much credit, well maybe not enough since the lack of options in this case has me really scrabbling for a solution.

  9. Yes, the companion limit is the same as PC. I got Rex a couple days ago and that quest made me go to Jacobstown. I ended up not really talking to Tabitha it was more of a let my guns do the talking kind of meeting. :) Really happy I had already been to the Boomers and had Thump Thump on my side. I’ve looked around a bit more this play through have discovered 161 locations so far.

  10. Dead money sound good especially since it seems to continue Veronica’s story. However, I bought the PC version. That is opposite of normal when I buy the 360 version and then end up buying the PC version to play around with mods. Don't know if I can handle playing a PC so ugly in order to play Dead Money on the 360. :xp: Perhaps if I every decide to play as a male.

  11. I only explored the Black Mountains last night for the first time. I had gotten as far as the upside down satellite disk on one of my prior playthroughs before turning back because of my lack of proper firearms, companion and not enough radaway to feel comfortable. So last night was the first time I meet Raul. Have yet to find Lily either as I have no clue where Jacobstown is located. Guess it is too the northwest as I have pretty much explored the southern and eastern part of the map.

Missed Veronica’s one hit kills too much last night so I added a mod to allow for multiple companions. I’m still only going to use one at a time so Boone can stay at the Lucky 38 unless I decide to go hunting Legion again.

  12. Played Jade Empire twice and now I'm back playing New Vegas again. Started over, but still plan on doing the House playthrough this time. Been taking my time. Have Boone this playthrough, but I miss Veronica.

    Happy Birthday!

  14. I saw nothing wrong with it and found it funny. Now let us see if it get pass Jae. :)

  15. Thanks Sabre, I needed a laugh.

  16. It doesn't really count when you lock the thread yourself. :) Good luck with the new PC and Happy New Year.

  17. Not pleased, not at all. Had it been while playing AP, I may have found it humorist, but I’m evil that way. However, I never would have been pleased that you could not finish a game. Are you playing on the 360 or the PC? I’ve came upon a few bugs in Fallout: New Vegas that have made me go back to a previous save (sometime a few previous saves), but nothing game breaking, quest breaking…but not game breaking.

  18. I don't know either, but the guy next door sells me Skoal on the cheap, so I'm not going to question his faith. Nor do I care as long as I get a discount. He can worship at the feet of Michael Savage for all I care.

  19. If the guy that sells me my Skoal say it is a Mosque, then it is a Mosque. :xp:

  20. No Mass Effect for the PC. Already hit a bug where one of the Keepers fell through the floor. :( I need to pick a game and stick with it. Still want to finish my second playthrough of Fallout New Vegas. First one went with the NCR, was going to go with House on this one. Not sure I'll ever do a Caesar run.

  21. Guess what else I purchased on Steam... :dev14:

    Never mind already change everything.

  22. [sabre]"I too, wish starvation and poverty over millions of people because I am tired of seeing them working to make goods for me."

I bow down to the Master. :worship:

  23. Well I've been to East Texas, is that close enough to play The Witcher?

  24. Purchased “The Witcher” on Steam last night (bought it about 6 months back, but never was able to get it to launch. Teach me to purchase a game from another country). One thing I love about Steam is the ease of use. Guess I know what I’ll be doing over the Christmas holiday, however I still want to finish a second playthrough of Fallout New Vegas too.
