Come to think of it, there's no clear indication as to who's actually in charge of the Galactic Empire now, but it's likely that since the end of Part V, the military's been in charge, and given that Darth Pestilus clearly had agents within the New Empire, it's entirely possible he still does. In addition, both Echelon 5 and Nex Venators might recognise that the Undying Sith Empire is a greater threat to their respective governments than they are to one another.

Though that would mean they are not loyal to the New Galactic Empire, and are willing to serve the Undying Sith Empire.

I simply felt that given that the situation would be ripe for exploitation by the Nex Venators, or perhaps they have a hand in it, though that mean th. That's just my guess, since as you said, you weren't able to flesh them out that much.

Ok, well, all I've really got planned is that it begins with the Avalon system getting devastated by the Undying Sith Empire, and probably at the end, they manage to seize Coruscant from the Republic. Not much else is really concrete, but another thing is that the Jedi Order, which is falling out of favour with the Senate, is forced into an uneasy alliance with Echelon 5, a secret organisation within the Republic, similar to Section 31 in Star Trek, or Cerberus in Mass Effect.

I'll admit that it was entirely my fault the second time around, and for that, I am deeply sorry. I was stumped as to where to go with that subplot. However, if you are willing to return, I will do my best to ensure that it does not happen again. In fact, I have a feeling that the Nex Venators could work very well with what I have planned for Part VIII.

So, coming back to The Sith Resurrection for Part VIII? This time around, I've introduced an organisation reminiscent of Cerberus in Mass Effect 2!

I considered Avalon primarily for two reasons:
1. Consider the symbolism of such an attack. To use an analogy, I think it would comparable to Sauron decimating Rivendell, which was recognised by the Free Peoples of Middle Earth as a safe place.
2. Part VIII also begins with Andorra marrying Lenatha, and I want the two events to coincide. Andorra would be more likely to want to get married on Avalon than Belos.
But I suppose I could step the attack up from just one planet to the entire system.

Also, I'm planning on it beginning with the Undying Sith Empire attacking Avalon itself. Any objections? I figured something like that would hit pretty close to home for a lot of characters.

Something like that. Gender differences aside, he'd basically have the same sort of physical characteristics as Kalla (i.e., green skin, blue lekku, antennae, dark human hair, Human/Twi'lek facial structure).

And since I mentioned an attempt at recruiting Andorra into Echelon 5, here's a bit of a preview:
"For someone without any military training, you're certainly good in a fight, as is your wife. Congratulations, by the way. Echelon 5 could use someone like you, and if it's revenge you want, you could use people like us."
