naossoan
I don't know about that man...Before I put myself on the DMZ list I got disconnected pretty much anywhere. When I was by myself, when i was with a few guys, when i was in the middle of town, it didn't matter.
Radiv
Other than losing some credits are there any disadvantages to training a few extra novice skills? I am an artisan/marksman and have been really thinking about picking up novice medic and scout. I can untrain them later if I decide to and the only thing I don't get back is the credits? Adulis
I have two questions the first is simalar to ravis's if you buy all the novice skills when you start to get a feel for which career you like best (what i did) is there a way to get rid of the skills you decided you dont want and get your skill points back? my other question is how much of a bonus do humans get in the imperial rankings is it a big difference? Wraith 8
@Radiv: well novice professions take upn 15 skill points at novice. thats the biggest disadvantage. and yes you get more if you want. when is atrted i had: entertainer scout masrkman artisian. now i have masrksman and medic. i gave up the others. and no. you dont get your money back. you do get teh skill point back. @adulis: 1. when you click a skill in the professions menu (ctrl s) there is a small button on the info bar near the bottom of the meny that says surrender skill. you then get a warning screen saying or asking if you REALLY want to give it up. you have to type yes and enter and you surrenedered the skill. 2. all faction perks are WAY cheaper for humans. i get an AT ST for i believe 9700 faction points. other races have to at least get over 10.000 to get it. hope i helped you 2 Corzip Dinn
Adulis
okay because i was debating between being a twi'lek or human i know im gonna be an imperial though i only was debating over those to because twi'leks look cool but if humans pay like half the price ill go with them
MarkVK
Adulis, Why worry about the money. Credits are so easy to come by in the game. Play the type of character you really want (ie. Twi'lek). As you increase in rank with a faction (rebel or Imperial) the cost start to be reduced.

serpensater
What form of the Force do I need to use in order to tell an actual living person at Star Wars Galaxies official site that I have built a personal fan site that I would like to have added to the Fan Site Page located at starwarsgalaxies.com? I spent over two months working on that personal site (http://www.gamephasma.com) that, as of late, has been winning some cool awards. I have already tried "Customer Support" and "Tech Support". For the past few weeks I have been sending and resending the trivial request to email addresses that are given in the generic email messages that I get back. I have also tried the "Webmaster" who must be on vacation. I even tried the "Chat Rooms" and talked with all the room moderators that had no idea what I was talking about. The forums? Yes, I have tried that as well. Although I have a game account and about a dozen fan accounts (from following and re-following the process to try to get access to the forums there) I could never get past the login page. Indeed, I also followed all of their suggestions for logging in. It seems to be a fascinating paradox to be unable to reach the only person that I assume, from the only "Customer Support Rep" who seemed knowledgable in this area and suggested that I talk to "Garva", is only contactable in the Forum. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. I'm growing tired of reading the same generic email messages all of the time for such a trivial matter. Venom750
Since everyone plays Star Wars:Galaxies can you tell me me how much the fee is?
The Legion
Think its 12-15 dollars. Another question: Credits, what we use them for ? We buy stuff for it, or we need it to level up ? I dont have the game today, cause they where out of it in the shop
lil_dude
the fee is $16 i believe and for credits, it's the currency in the Star Wars universe, you need it to travel from planet-planet, buy items and to pay npc trainers to get skills(unless someone trains u for free), there's other stuff but that's the basis of it
The Legion
Ok thanks. So its all about the credits then

It's an online game only. When you buy the game, you will get one months free subscription and you will need either a credit/debit card from a major bank or a Gaming card (not europe) for the next months billing - which you can cancel just before your months 'free' trial is up. Jan Gaarni
To get trapping experience you will have to trap things, yes, using a trap.

Wraith 8
1. uhmm SWG has a lot of control methods./ i see people using only mouse, i see people only using keyboard. i myself combine the 2 so i cant really answer thta 2. hell yeah i play on about 4 different servers and they are always crouded *wink**cough* STARSIDER!! *cough-cough* 3. uhm it depends a lot on your computer. mu ingame wife has a 56k modem but she gets less lag cause she has a really good comp. i have just above the recomended and adsl but still have a lot of lag in theed, bestine and coronet. 4. i have no idea 5. every game this size and this amount of players has bugs. a lot of them are cleaned up but there are still a few. like the disapear bug.... your fellow group members just disapears fo the screen but he is still there. but u havent experienced that bug since a week now so it may have been fixed. hope i helped. The Legion
Questions 1: How to get max combat xp. I tried to use the weapon at its assigned range. I always try and prone when fire and I junt rancors and sharnaffs. but I never seem to peak the combat xp to the top, to become a master marksman. What actions is in the calculation that you get very high combat xp ? 2: Pistol xp for marksman. this is a slow mf..takes ages. I stay at the assigned length of the gun and i prone or kneel. But I never get much more then 200. What do I have to do to get max out of this ? 3: Those dumb traps... Man I toss them all the time on the enemy. I figured out they dont work well on sharnaffs and rancors, but on the small critters it only gives me like 69 xp for trapping. Whats the game here as I dont get that. 4: Armour I was dumb and bought a very cool body armour. But when I wanted to equip it...it said I needed 16 more quikness. Anything I can do to get higher here ? Becomming soon I hope master scout and master marksman.
Wraith 8
1. ..... each 10 xp in any weapon xp like pistol, unaramed, rifle, pikes, etc gives you 1 combat xp. i suggest you get a bunch of grenades and throw then at suckers. they give solely combat xp 2. ... what have you been doing then? nuna's? the better you get at any combat prof the easier and the lss xp you get from small animals. to get more xp you need to target better ones. bigger once. stronger ones. i suggest you get a group together and do Lok, Dantooine, Endor, Dathomir. they ahve nice xp. 3. ,,, the higher you get in trapping the better you can use them on larger animals like rancors. but you picked one of the tough animals to try on traps /shake head. stay to the small omes untill you have at least trapping 3. and sometimes like the intimidate trap.... it wears off during combat... throw another one.... andother xp. and i dont throw 1 trap.. i throw all traps at my target.. different kind that is if one fails try it again with the same one. 4. you could get a doc to buff your secondairy stats and then you can wear it also you could find a smuggler to slice it for yah. and then its has lower ham costs.. (do remember the imp crackdown) another way is to do stat migration. its slow tho. takes at least a couple of days to work so dont rush that and may i comment. why is everyone in such a big frikken hurry to get somewhere. no wonder so many people quited because they were bored take your time.,. game isnt going anywhere . anyway i hate grinding so i just take my damnbed time in anything

Between Storm Troopers, and AT-STs, the rebels really have nothing to back them up on.
