Hey gang

Was wondering if anyone was going to watch this rework of the late 70's/early 80's TV series starting tomorrow night (US time). With new digital effects and a few surprises in the story, it might be worth watching. Lemme know what you guys think.

I've said before and I'll say again; She-Starbuck is a hottie.

Picking up where the original left off would've been problematical. The whole point of any film is to draw in new viewers, who wouldn't know the original. Besides, you'd then end up getting sucked into the debate about the canonicity of Galactica 1980, which nobody wants.

Unfortunately, being in Canada, I'll still have to wait 'till January to see it. :(

I saw a few scenes of it, didn't seem to capture the same feeling of the series, although that was probobly the point. All in all, Battlestar was Star Wars on TV, this isn't.

I want the actual robots back! Those guys were cool. Chrome-covered stormtroopers.

I think the mini-series was a test to see if they could turn it into a real show, but I doubt they will.

I'll just be happy to see the second half of Season Seven of Stargate, the 8th and final season, and the first season of the new Stargate show.

I'm wondering if Space'll run the Stargate spinoff (or heck, even SG-1 S8) in "real-time."

They only started Season one back in September, though we're up to S3 now, since they're running it weeknights. At least, I think it's S3. We just had our first brush with the Replicators last Friday (Monday was a season premiere).

Please don't spoil anything (yes, I already know what happens in "Meridian")

I'm not sure what the plans are for airing it in Canada. Have you heard anything Flying Beastie?

I haven't heard anything, actually. I'm just extrapolating.

I'm thinking that we should be caught up by the time S8 starts, but then Space'd have to readjust their schedules, since the new season will only air one episode a week.

SG Update: Tonight is the "Groundhog's Day" episode. Golf, anyone? ;)
