Brushguy
Since 2004 started, I've started production on my own six-part Monkey Island fangame, called: GOODBYE MONKEY ISLAND So far, the first two parts have been uploaded, and I'm currently working on Part III. Check out my website for the latest news on this fangame, the first two parts, and three other cool DOTT fangames I've made... http://www.freewebs.com/lucaskeen Comment if you like the games! Brushguy
Oh man, this guy is gonna get a date with the Lucas Lawyers. Can they find me if I don't show my e-mail address to the public? By the way, would you guys be offended if I posted your good comments on my website?

Skinkie
Generally anytime anyone tries to make an adventure based on LucasArts characters, they are awarded with a Cease and Desist letter from the company. You can try and avoid it I suppose.
Jedi-Monkey
Fangames.co.uk hasnt been touched. Theyre careful and have a mighty disclaimer.
Remi
The disclaimer isn't worth much, and the games most likely haven't been touched because of LEC not knowing about them. The moment the games are put on the web the "fair use" clause goes out the window anyway.
The LeChuckie
Is there no chance of LA lightening up a little seeing all the critiscism their getting?.... what about Star Wars Mods anyway? isn't that exactly the same (e.g the Battlefiled 1942 one)
OddBall
It shouldn't be a big deal at all as long as you aren't pulling in any money for anything your doing with the games. Look at all the mods people make for all the Quake's and UT's MOH's BF1942s etc. My only gripe about your site would be the download time, but I understand limited bandwidth so you're ok. Great idea, I'll be working on DL'ing these.

Brushguy
First of all, if that link to Part III does not work, just go to my website directly: http://www.freewebs.com/lucaskeen I'm currently in the middle of Part IV, but tomorrow, I start planning Part V. In this part, Guybrush gets sent back in time to when he first arrived on Monkey Island. So you have to help Past Guybrush get off, and Future Guybrush get back to the future. But what I need is: backgrounds from SMI I can use. I need: -SMI Guybrush spriteset -Most of the beaches -The overview of the whole island -The top-view of the canyon -The cannibal village (possibly cannibal sprites) -The monkey head -Herman's hideout Know where I can get these? Skinkie
Can't you just print screen most of the screen images right out of the game?
Brushguy
I don't have a printer. Are there any screenshot making programs out there? By the way, Part IV is out... http://www.freewebs.com/keatonsworld/gmipart4.zip
Thrik
... print screen. It's a key on your keyboard which saves whatever's currently on your screen to the clipboard. You can then paste it into any graphic editing program.
Brushguy
Never mind about PrintScreen, or anything else I said. I got ScreenThief and ScummVm, and now I'm getting all the backgrounds I need.
