Yufster
Let's see who REALLY won, without all those cheating Star Wars fans. By the way, if you don't vote for Grim, we're going to break your legs. (Also, praise and admiration of Grim here!)
Alien426
I have chosen... wisely. Still haven't played KOTOR.
edlib
I still think it's a strange juxtaposition of titles there... On the one hand, you have 2 RPGs and one adventure game. On the other hand, you have 2 titles that are more than 5 years old, and one that's less than a year old. Could they have found a less fair match up? Still,.. I'll have to vote Grim,.. if for no other reason than to avoid being flayed alive and/or vivisection by Yuf. Actually,.. I've spent the last couple of nights re-playing GF. I'm on year 3. I wish I didn't still remember the solutions to the puzzles as well as I do,.. but it's a blast to go back and make sure I didn't miss any of the dialog. Yufster
There was that one puzzle in the Petrified Forest, with all the different directions you could go and this Signpost... I remember running through all these tunnels with this goddamn pointing signpost, not knowing what I was doing, and then of course, the answer was so obvious... I was just over-complicating it. GF had to have the best introduction sequence of any game, ever. "You're gonna have a great time! Man, I wish I was going!" (Somebody just voted KOTOR!!! Break his legs!) edlib
Yeah,.. I got really stuck on that one the first time through. It still got me a bit this time. I totally forgot what I was supposed to do with the forklift in the elevator this time around too. I went up and down about 20 times before it all came back to me. Yufster
I love that sort of puzzle... the ones that decieve you in to thinking they're more complicated than they really are, so when you finally get it, you feel dumb. By the way, we're on the lookout for anybody with a Star Wars Avatar that may have voted KOTOR. We want to interrogate him. And then break his legs. Jeez, I love talking about breaking peoples legs! This is like my new hobby! Grim Fandango and Breaking Peoples Legs!
Skinkie
Shouldn't it be called The People Who Cancelled Sam and Max 2's Knights of the Old Republic? A wise man once told me it should be.
Yufster
Thrik, could you change it to "John Romero's Chrono Trigger" too? Whoever just gave another vote to TPWCS&M2's KOTOR, come forward and present your legs to me and Alia.
Ryam BaCo
i registered in this forum for giving kotor a second vote!!! and now: break my legs! i'm curious how you'll manage that! okay, i admit: grim is the better game. i did this only for being annoying and seeing how you'll break my legs... Yufster
Ryam, meet everybody. Everybody, Ryam. Ryam is on my team for Luna. Yesterday, he told me (His superior!) that my diagrams suck, and then he sent me an entire document detailing why Austrians are so much better than everybody else. I was considering firing him, but his diagram was, perhaps, *slightly* better than mine. Although that's only because I am so busy with other things, like dialogue and design and art and communism. Now, I have decided that the best punishment is to keep him on the team. He's going to have so much fun! Just you wait and see how much fun you're going to have, Ryam. Fun! Fun! Pain! Whoops, did I say pain? I surely did not intend to say that! He's going to have fun! Although I'm not sure how he's going to go about that with no LEGS. Since he evidently did not intend his vote to represent KOTOR as the better game, I would ask a Moderator to alter the votes to Grim: 10 and KOTOR: 1, as nature always intended them to be. Or you could just make me a Mod, and make things so much simpler.
Ryam BaCo
grim: the game that almost made me insane at the age of 14 because i solved everything at my own (i remember that i stared at this pipe-thing in petrified forest two hours on the same screen") kotor: the inofficial sequel to the game that almost killed me (baldur's gate 2) and made me xbox-addict till i finished it (going to school with around 2 to 4 hours sleep is funny) and: which bastard is responsible for this "oh...let's steal kotor a vote - nobody will complain!"-impudence? give poor kotor one more vote. Yufster
Poor KOTOR my ass. Everybody knows you really wanted to vote for Grim. Go on, jerkwad! Cry! Cry like you made Little Tim cry. You heartless, heartless bastard.
Ryam BaCo
everything is going wrong in this title fights! firstly secret of monkey island didn't get into the knock-out-competition secondly terrific baldur's gate 2 failed against fallout 2 thirdly kotor had to get into an extra-life-stuff-thing-whatever fourthly they let kotor compete against grim, which means that one of the two great games will fail and fifthly grim got knocked out of the title fights conclusion: they are not looking for the best game - they seek the worst game of all time

Yufster
Info Cow is a gentle sort. He wouldn't remove your head. Tim might, though. Tim Info Cow says he likes the new Poll. I'm going to start MORE polls. Except more competitive ones. We all know there's no competition when it comes to Grim Fandango Vs Any Other Game (Except Psychonauts, perhaps). But what about when it comes down to TIM SCHAFER Vs INFO COW?!???

Yufster
Ha ha, that's funny because you said 'John Romero'. Anything can be funny if you stick John Romero in it, somehow. Watch! Blurphhggg. John Romero!!! I am pissing myself laughing.
SamNMax
Knights of the Old, Lame Republic. First of all, Lucasarts barley had anything to do with Knights. Bioware were the real makers. And it obviously isn't lame since it won the damn thing.
