Got any MOD ideas?

i wanted to know if you guys had any ideas for one

 

i would like to see a MOD with the original death star where you can fly fighters outside and dock at different platforms. But, instead of destroying the death star the rebels have to capture it. They can start in their own ship docked and they have to travel to the death star and enter it. I dunno maybe im crazy.

To make a death star would take a **** LOAD of textures and modelling in order to make a complete death star that you could fly your ship around. Coupled with turbolasers and other hazards i don't see how anyone could do it or would be up to the challenge of doing it. But there are a lot of guys who have a lot of time on their hands so we'll see.

 

I for one have ideas for levels i would like to see done, one takes place over an ocean setting and has a few islands and canals that would have to be taken over. Another one i saw in a rogue squadron level where you and your buddies have speeders and have to take out radars and an at-at production facility. But with the level i have in mind, you could either go by foot or air and there are advantages to either with some places only being accessible by foot or air, such as an underground spawn point that if you capture could spawn at-pt's (if they're available) or at-st's. I have others but i need to draw them out and what i would like to do. Stay tuned.

I think that modding teams will find their own ideas of what they can do, they do not work with a wishlist. As I said, better to get then to ask. "its an ok mod, but you didnt do x,y, and z as i requested, you suck". You don't know what the limit is, you'll expect too much.

Do an underground battles mod. Use the gangsters like Jabba's group, smugglers and the Black Sun for factions. Maps would be small city maps, like Mos Eisley, Coresaunt underground and so on. Easily done with tons of fun.

 

Please stay with the StarWars universe. I dont want to see terrorist/counter-terrorist or WWII mods for this game. BF42 had too many modders doing the same dang thing over and over. Yeah a new mod comes out but who cares its the same crap.

Mods do not change the game to the point where you can't play the regular game. There's usually an option in the game to activate the mod so that it doesn't become the default mode, therefore you can play the regular game or modded game at will. Plus i think the addition of maps and vehicles can only enhance the game if done right and can help the longevity of it and sustain people's appetites until a sequel or expansion comes out. The question is, what will they do for a sequel to this game? There's only so many "official" battles that the movies portrayed and they are all in here.

 

What are they gonna do for Star Wars Battlefront 2: Electric Boogaloo.

NO!!!!! NO JEDI IN THIS GAME!!!!

:fett: I agree there should be no playable jedi classes in this game. Almost every single Star Wars game out there your some jedi ,and all I have ever wanted to be in Star Wars games is a stormtrooper. Thats why I'm excited about STB coming out. If anyone ones to be a jedi they should play Jedi Academy Multiplayer on Siege mode. It won't be as fun as Battlefront ,but you'll get your little lightsaber if you play as a jedi class.:fett:

agreed. Maybe a competitive mod if the game gets competitive (like pam for cod, with rules and ready up etc), but otherwise i don't want so see any mod other than total conversions and few GOOD maps

I would prefer maps over mods. Change the terrain but don't mess the whole gameplay.

 

For those who have played the original Jedi Knight, there could be a map where the rebels have to capture the Imperial fortress at Barons Hed, a city on the Sullustian moon of Sulon, after Jerec and his dark jedi were defeated. Troops would have to fight in the city streets. Imperials would defend every inch of ground while the rebels have to break through barriers, the fortress walls, and the command tower.

Hmm, that's a pretty good idea. I might do something simliar to that.

i prefer more SW maps, of planets don't exists in-game.
