Xirion
I sure as hell wont be! Sure console gaming is okay, some games are more suited for consoles ie racing games andbutton mashers, but the "trend" of online console gaming i just dont get. PS2 such a horrible controller, i could see using xbox controller for it, but still just doesnt appeal to me. Ill be sticking with PC gaming
Doomie
yup. PC gaming all the way. Unfortunatly Lucasarts is abandoning us more and more...

Ill be sticking with PC gaming cmon the ps2 has an excellent controller. matter fact when u buy controllers from the store there are more ps2 like controllers for the pc. dont knock ps2 controller against that monstrosity of an xbox controller(its huge) and when it comes down to it. consoles will not lag nearly as much as the pc simply b/c theyre more stable. Like in Bf1942 most games ran slow(with broadband) on lowest of graphic settings. unless u were in a 15 max player game. That is why im going ps2 instead of pc. no lag
ps2gamer42
yeah, the ps2 controller is the best, i cant wait to play battlefront with it!
anders^on
Wait a second .. no one ever spoke of buying any controller .. mouse and keyboard are far more useful for games like swbf and bf42 than any console-controller. Coming to the 'fact' that consoles are more stable than PC and don't lag like PCs do .. that's a rumor. Consoles are more user-firendly, thats the only truth about consoles in my opinion. Because of the flexibility and performance of PCs there will always be problems and if you can't handle them your choice should probably be the console. But a well configured and not completly out-dated PC offers better graphics, controlment and flebixbility. No console will beat a PC in one of those 3 disciplines in the near future, that's for sure. Alegis
Consoles are purely made for gaming.PC aints. Even because they're made only for gaming, i think they failed. Everyone has pc anyways with internet, and they're supposed to be better in gaming. Well if thats true, they wouldn't need the "console only" games, they only reason ppl buy em. PC is best, the mouse owns any controller pad for aiming and such, and chatting and all that with a ps2? Never. Buying a mosue and keyboard for your console is ridiculous. Why not use pc then anyways

Ice Demon44
The xbox controller is great. I use the older bigger ones because I don't like the S, its to small. I will be playing battlefront on the Xbox because 1. I like Live 2. Controls 3. Bigger Screen 4. Stereo 5. I need some more ram for my computer in the making
DieStarWarsGeek
you know, it is possible to hook up a pc to a bigger screen, stereo, etc. PC all the way for all the things mentioned. And PS2 controller is way better than that huge monstrosity of an xbox controller. Man some of these kids can't remember the days of the original nintendo controller. Now that was small. yaebginn
but the N64 controller was huge. heres my reasons for ps2 1.Leather Recliner 2. beverages without risk of spilling on keyborad. 3. Big screen. 4. Stable connection.
Blinkin
the ps2 controller, i believe is one of the most comfy and easy to use controllers out there, xbox isnt bad by any means but i would take the ps2 first. most of my friends play on ps2 as well so thats why i stick with it, pc's and upgrades cost too much so between buying games and playing paintball (very expensive) i just cant afford to be a pc gamer. When i get older and have my own house im gonna probably have one of every system and a decked out pc woohoo
yaebginn
yeah, I had to stop paintball, cause I'm saving up for alot of stuff. paintball is fun, but expensive as mess.
THE BADGER:
How many threds are we gonna have on this same topic. When it comes to performance PC is better. When it comes to price consoles are better. They both have their pros and cons, can't we all just agree to diagree. It is totally your opinion. Some like console, some like PCs. It's your preference. So shut-up already about it. Thats why they release it in different formats. You stick with the PC, and I'll stick with my console. We will all be happy. SITH_ShadowCat
Originally posted by RoxStar Ya, well i've got a TV out card LOL, same here. Not only that but I can hook up my comp to my sound system (with out the need of any new hardware). In the end its what ever floats your boat. I have a PS2 and PC but must say that for FPS (the mouse has unmatched precisions) and online play, the PC rocks in most ways. Things like graphics and probably a more user friendly online system gives me the a thumbs up towards PC. And most of the reason people mentioned to get the console version can be also done for the PC... with the right amount of cash of course... Tyler_Durden
Ummm you can attach a PC to any plasma display. I did it for my company when i was playing battlefield 1942 at last year's E3. And PC version IS the best. Why? Mods, new maps, new vehicles, new campaigns. Stuff made by fans that will increase the replay value a lot more so than just having the console version. The X-BOX may have downloadable content, but only official stuff from Lucasarts, PS2 can't hold that much information without a hard drive. PC users get official and non-official content, plus get to expand upon their imaginations and create the stuff mentioned above. Not to start a flame war here because i own the PS2 and XBOX as well and i love em to death but i feel that it's the truth in this case.
GhostfacedKilla
All in all i main reason i will be getting it on console is comfort, mobility(You cant lug ure comp to ure friends house..) and inexpensive hardware.... P;s. with the new ps2 harddrive we may be able to get extra levels and skins dunno bout mods. But the ps2 hardrive is $100!?!?#% ...........Dont think ill be buying that from the store anytime soon...........or maybe at a pawn shop lol.
