Heh, I need some help in a...conspiracy!!

Well, as some people know, my computer is sorta...four years old...using a nVidia TNT 2 Pro. Well, today, I was telling my mom that for my birthday I should get a new graphics card rather than the Star Wars: Original Trilogy DVD's. Well, then my mom told me that my dad was thinking about getting a new computer. Now, I was shocked!! I thought, I also want a better graphics card!! So, I was thinking, that I have to convince my dad to get a better graphics card for the new computer (if we do get a new one). My dad is usually nice, unless you offend him, talk about games excessively, or be stupid. He becomes happy when I get good grades too. Now, that made no sense, but, my dad doesn't really like games at all...I mean, he bought me an XBOX, and before that, a Playstation (very first one...no anti-skip stuff).

What I need help in is...to convince my dad to get a better graphics card for the new computer (if we get one...). Also, here is an example of what would happen if I asked for a better graphics card:

"Hey, dad, can we get a new graphics card?"

"Why?"

"Well, there is a really nice game coming out, and it might not work on the computer's graphics card..."

"You need to stop wasting your time with games. Find something productive to do."

Now, he might be a bit nicer if I hadn't been playing video games for a while, or if I was studying (and he knew I was, he usually thinks I'm on the computer when I am not). Or even, if I got good grades. I try to go on the computer before he gets home, so he doesn't end up telling me to not go, or asking that I would do on the computer...

At least, that never happened yet. I mean, I never asked him, but there is a 99% chance that he'd say that. He is usually an understanding person, but, at the same time, usually not.

I hope you guys can help me.

Umm, where I live, I can't get a job until I am 15...and I will get a job.

I do get good grades, I got straight A's in my past school year (9th grade). Study where he can see me...that's in the family room...infront of the T.V., which annoys me...

Find work also means around the home as well. Mow the lawn, do the dishes, ect.

And if the tv annoys you, get earplugs or listen to music or something. I'm homeschooled and I have to work all day around my moms watching fox news.

Btw, Majin Revan, just a suggestion of watching what you put as your sig at the end of your post, that smilie does affect what ppl view as your personality. Which to me it makes you look kinda stupid, nothing personal.

just not to long ago I had the same problem, all I have to say is that good things come to those who wait, and wait, and wait...

anyway I waited four years for a Radeon 9800 Pro and am now enjoying the time I have on the computer in fact that is why I have not been to LF in a long time.
