Neverhoodian
People at the massassi.net forums have been talking quite a bit about a truly phenomenal feat. David "RandomEngy" Rickard has recently set a new record for a Jedi Knight "Speedrun," where you try to beat the game as fast as humanly possible. His time... 34 minutes and 3 seconds!!! Crazy! I can't even beat the first three levels in twenty minutes! You can find the info (and a movie!) of the speedrun here.
acdcfanbill
nice, doesnt say what difficulty he was on tho. I've got a Quake1 speed run on nightmare that clocked in at a lil over 12 min. but in Quake its easier to setup on a per level basis, anyway, thanks for the link

acdcfanbill
i think you will find that the guy is pretty accurate, but nonetheless, this is a speedrun
MikeGunther1969
Whilw watching the speedrun video I often times found myself awestruck and baffled. The phrase "no f@#$ing way jumped from my lips on several occasions especially the level 5/6 run and the level 13 run. Hats off to this guy. It was not only fast but so many shortcuts I have never seen before, yet even known abooot (little south park tribute)
Nokill
i also seen it and then to think its even posible to do it all 30 seconds faster only then your brain will pop in the 5th minute O.o
BawBag™
I've always enjoyed viewing speed-runs (last one being Metroid Prime), so I can't wait to get home and d/l this bad-boy.
MikeGunther1969
The one thing which blows the mind more than anything is the jump accuracy. It is truly unbelievabe. This person must do nothing else in life other than play games. I am contemplating a speedrun just for shyts and giggles, but I don't think I could break 5:00 on level 1. BTW, how does one go about recording the entire run?
Z@NARDI
you can record it using a program called Fraps
Kurgan
Yeah, but you may need to edit the clips together...

Loopster
That is awesome. Particularly hilarious is the way he dealt with the last three Jedi. Sequencer charge, sequencer charge, sequencer charge BOOM! Brought back good memories.
