I've been inspired by the "Photo Album" thread. You get an idea of what people are like when they post (either ignorantly or intelligently) and now knowing what they look like forms your mental image of them a little better. Another thing I find surprising about people is their choice of music. I know some some thugs that bump rock and some "good ol' boys" that like rap.

Here's what I want to know:

Favorite Artist or Album:

Last 3 CD's purchased:

Current CD playing/last played:

Here's mine:

Favorite Artist or Album: Garth Brooks (Double Live)

Last 3 CD's purchsed: This is kind of hard. I bought 5 at once. Finger Eleven - Finger Eleven, Chevelle - This Kind of Thinking Could Do Us In, Papa Roach - Getting Away with Murder, Cauterize - So Far From Real, and Korn - Greatest Hits Vol. 1.

Current CD playing/last played: Finger Eleven - Finger Eleven

Can't wait to see this.

Favorite Artist or Album:
Depeche Mode - Songs of Faith and Devotion.

There are about 5 artists and 20 albums that just missed the first spot and are all tied for 2nd.

Last 3 CD's purchased:
That one could be hard...I buy most of my music track-by-track from Napster and iTunes now.

Crystal Method - Legion of Boom

Dave Matthews - Some Devil

Sarah McLachlan - Afterglow

Current CD playing/last played:
James - Seven. Been fixated with that album for about a week now.

BTW: How can Korn have a greatest hits album when their first CD was the only one that didn't suck? In all fairness, Life is Peachy wasn't too bad.

Yeah, no kidding LOL. I don't own any other Korn CD. Greatest Hits Vol. 1 had 90% of the songs that didn't suck. I currently have 256 songs from iTunes.

Last group purchased from iTunes:

Personal Jesus - Marilyn Manson (90% of his crap sucks.)

On the Way Down - Ryan Cabrera (Hey screw you, I dig what I dig, ya' dig?)

Ocean Avenue - Yellowcard (They have a fiddle player? Whatever.)

Nobody - Skindred (Don't understand one word he's saying.)

Easy Comes - Thornley (Solid stuff from them.)

Cold - Crossfade (Oh yeah.)

Bring Me Down - Pillar (Christian Rock, I kid you not.)

I like pretty much everything when it comes to music. My taste varies from 50 cent, In da Bomb to Rod Stewart, Tonight is the night:D

My all-time album has got to be Supernatural - Santana. It's a perfect blend of rithms, some cool voices and songs i love, like "smooth" and "Put your lights on";

Last CD i bought were:

1. Kill Bill soundtrack. I keep listening to two coolest musics called Battle Without Honor or Humanity and That Certain Female;

2. Probot project;

3. Moulin Rouge sound track, cuz i was eager to listen Obi-Wan singing Elton Jonh "Your song" :D;

4. Linkin Park live from somewhere i don't remember.

I listen in a daily basis:

Alive - Pearl Jam, cuz i'm a fan since Jeremy;

Paint it Black, Simpathy for the Devil - Rolling Stones, cuz Rock'n Roll wouldn't be Rock'n Roll without these guys;

Another brick in the Wall - Pink Floyd;

Mr. Brownstone - Guns'n Roses;

Like a stone, cochise - Audioslave;

Rag Doll - Aerosmith;

Pet cemetary - Ramones;

Times like these, Learn to fly - Foo Fighters;

Wind of change - Scorpions in a remarkable version with the Philarmonica of Berlin

BTW, we caught that you like Avril when you mentioned her twice in your first post. Can we expect to see more from you regarding Miss Lavigne in this thread or are you done now?

Haven't heard anything from them yet. Pillar and Project 86 played the "Fat Cat" here in Modesto not too long ago with their "Project Pillar" show. Missed that one, unfortunately. Although, I won't be missing the Breaking Benjamin show with Three Fold (sp?) there on the 9th of November. Hell yeah!

Hey, ya dig what ya dig. I think she has an awesome voice. She has some pretty decent songs on her first album. Pretty good for a 17 (at the time) year old, if you ask me. My girlfriend likes her a lot. She needs to drop that "Bad Girl" act real fast. Although, that "Bad Girl" act is making her millions and I'm loading trucks at the local newspaper. I'd say she's doing something right.

Well, it seemed like you were set on someone commenting on that and you got one. LOL. Achillies is sassy tonight. Hey TheRealJediDude, whatever floats your boat, man. You're 10, who cares? When you're 16, take that to your grave.

That song is too damn catchy to not like. Rob Thomas' vocals and Carlos' guitar just melded perfectly on that track. Man, that came out like 5 years ago. I was working as a busboy getting called a "F***king Idiot" by the 80 year old owner of the restaurant. I'm so glad they went under. Although, it would have been nice if they had told me they went out of business instead of me finding out when I showed up for work the next week and some old lady with an enormous hat told me.

The only thing missing was a flashing sign....

I figured "Hey, he's probably going to keep saying it until someone comments. Let's give him something to remember".

In all seriousness though, I agree with what you said about sticking with your taste. No matter how old you are or what you listen to, someone somewhere is going to think that you're weird. So find what you like, listen to it loud and proud, and if someone takes issue with it, tell them to go...err...listen to something else.

His earlier stuff isn't too bad, just the later **** when he decided to be [sarcasm] I'm th3 sh0ck king, buy my stuff because I make freaky press headlines & I scare your parents trip[/sarcasm]. Basically anything after Portrait of an American Family blows, but said albums alright. So, I guess that would be the 10%, LoL.

I liked that, Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals. That's about the time I started having kids and finally let go of my teenage musical tastes. Hey, I think I still have Korn's first album in a box around here somewhere. Probably hiding under my best of Sting cd :D

Yeah, theres a couple songs off of AntiChrist SuperStar that are.... decent. I don't know, I pretty much lost interest in his music when he started the whole, ' I'm the walking incarnation of Lucifer, shock people for headlines' thing. It's as though his music isn't good enough to sell (which IMHO it isn't) on it's own anymore, so he resorts to circus freak acts to get attention. Or maybe thats just the musician/artist side of me talking, who believes it's more about playing/creating & less about how many religious groups I can make hate me, while grabbing the headlines.

& I hear ya about the kids thing. With mine on the way, I find a lot of my anti-everything music going into a box in the closet. Strange the way life happens...
