I took Mono's advise and made a few alteration I hope i haven't over-powered them too much for your taste I added some fire damage and a few other Attributes.

I have also changed the colour of the hilts to black nothing fancy mind, you were right guys i couldn't make much sence of the layout so i kept it simple.

If you guys think it would be better another way let me now and i'll do my best to better it

Now I'm gonna have a go at making a long flamesaber using malaks lightsaber this should prove difficult.

Note to Seprithro - My sabers may be upgradeable but your lightsabers look great especially the hilts they rock!

First of all from what I have read it's good start but I can't see the screenshot so I can't confirm this for my self.

2nd There are now two master Sepritho with his beataful non-upgradeable lightsabers that have very good cover storys that make sense. Also now we have random task with his upgradeable lightsabers and until I deside for my self good looking lightsabers.

 

Also to Revath No one no matter what skill level they are wheather it be me with no skills or the great photoshop master Svosh whoses title is self-explaning. You don't have the right to downsize ANYONE!

Raveth, consider this as a second warning. My previous warning was in this same thread. More comments like this will get you banned. Respect of others is a primary rule here.

 

Edit: if someone has something to say concerning this, PM me or another moderator instead of using the boards, I hate to lock a thread started by another user who is not at fault, especially when it is his mod that is being discussed.

I have been looking at your sabers now that the screenshot seems to work. 1st the single bladed version looks like the blade is huge in width and looks truely powerful. 2nd the newer twin bladed looks small and very preicse and never misses it's target.

 

So In my personal opinon you have a blade of raw power and blade of accuracy so there fore maybe useing malaks saber you make middle of the road saber or a saber to control all sabers or something like that.

Thats one sweeeet looking sabre/saber, I really like the flame look on it and the fact that it actually does fire damage and even has it own hilt...

 

Just some request for an update:

 

*place it somewhere in the game if you wouldn't mind

 

*update your screenie so it shows of the new hilts

 

 

Still it's a really nice done weapon with a unique look and feel witch is always a good thing, and to think it's your very first sabre ever... wish I was as talented at you.

I have now now made and uploaded the long flame-saber using malaks lightsaber and it is also fully upgradeable,

I'm not happy with the new hilts though and will have to make some better ones:)

 

Im Sorry Amezaroth but I haven't placed it in game yet I'm not sure how to at the moment I will have a look through the tutorials and try to make sence of it:confused:

 

Thanks for the offer Mono as I said above I will try to figure it out for myself first but if i get stuck i'll PM you for help if you have the time of coarse :)

Hey RandomTask, Achilles has a very good tutorial on how to place items in game WITHOUT scripting. It's been a real lifesaver for me. I noticed it wasn't in the Mod Tutorials section :confused: that or I'm just blind...

 

Check out Achilles site in the tutorials section I believe it's the last one...

 

It's at least a jumpstart till you can dive into scripting :)

 

Hope you don't mind Achilles, just thought it was rather odd I couldn't find that VERY helpful tutorial (especially for those of us who are still rather new) in the Tut's section *hint* *hint* ;)

Would that be footlocker001.utp from the Endar Spire Module?

 

If it is you can't use that one, it will mess up the game. You can only use module specific placeables, if you drop that, or others like it, into override it will override all footlocker001.utp's in the game, the same goes for metalbox001.utp, backpack001.utp, etc., using one of these will mess up the game.

 

Module specific placeables are unique to the module and usually start with parts of the module in the beginning of the filename, for example dan26_nemobody.utp.

BTW - I don't know if anyone has done this before but i have just made a set of custom multi-coloured lightsabers that change colour when you look at them from different angles I would add a link for anyone who wants it but i don't want to tread on anyone's toes who may have released this mod already.

I've seen screenshots of such sabers before, though I haven't seen any realeases.

Thanks for all the praise Guys :D

 

What do guys think about these HILTS for the flamesabers I tried to make them look really evil but they just ended up looking like bumblebee's :o Sorry that the pic is kinda dark but i did it in the ebon hawk it was the only place i could get them to stay still.

If you use Solo Mode, they'll stay still, and yes they do look quite... interesting... (In a good way. :))

Im in need of some help again but i'm not quite sure how to word it what i want to do is make my own texture like CM_SPECMAP and CM_BAREMETAL to shine through my textures i can edit these current files and put them in overide for my desired effect but not without disturbing any other texture that rely on these when i try to make my own they dont work.

I really hope someone understood that :o

You want to make a custom shader and only have it apply to an item that you've made.

 

To the best of my knowledge, you can only replace existing shaders. This means that your shader would be applied to any item that uses the non-custom shader.

You should be able to add a custom shader to almost any item. I haven't had any trouble adding custom shaders to my weapons.

 

The instances I have encountered where the custom shader would not work is with body meshes. As long as you make the txi for your shader look like this

envmaptexture customshader

then it should work fine. Oh you can rename "customshader" to anything your shader is called.

Good to know. I thought that I had read something (by Svosh, IIRC) saying that you couldn't do that. Of course , I probably hallucinated the whole thing after a 37 hour modding bender....
