Mex
I was wondering how Amazon.co.uk deliver their games. Does someone have to be at home and sign for it? Or do they just put it through your letterbox? I'll delete this thread when I've got my awnser. Thanks in advance.
ET Warrior
No need to delete the thread, I can just lock it for you I won't say for sure, but amazon in the us just leaves the package on your doorstep, when they ship through UPS. I would guess amazon.uk does NOT ship through UPS and therefore I can't say for certain.
Mex
I wouldn't really like them leaving it on my doorstep, I bet some guy would come and take it.
ET Warrior
They might be less likely to do that in a big city, I really don't know. All I know is in all the years I've had packages shipped here I've never had one stolen
Mex
I just looked on Amazon.co.uk and they don't seem to say anything about how games are delivered.
ET Warrior
All items destined for UK addresses are dispatched by First Class post, Parcelforce or DHL Express. It's not possible to choose exactly which carrier we use for your order. However, if the order qualifies, you can opt for free Super Saver Delivery. I'd check out First Class post, Parcelforce, or DHL Express to see their delivery practices.

Treacherous Mercenary
Normally here it gets dropped off to the apartment office for UPS.. Fedex just drops it off my door usually.
swphreak
Well. At my permament address in Florida, UPS/USPS would just drop it off at the door, or put it in one of the special mailboxes (Our mailboxes are like jumbled together witht he rest of the street, and there are 2 big boxes for packages). But where I am now in my dorm, UPS has me sign for it. So I really hate that when I order stuff and it's delivered while I'm at class. USPS will deliver it to our mailroom. Spider AL
I was wondering how Amazon.co.uk deliver their games. Does someone have to be at home and sign for it? Or do they just put it through your letterbox? I am in the UK. When I have ordered items from Amazon, they have either been put through the letterbox if they were small enough, or taken to the local sorting office and held until I collected them if they were NOT small enough. If I was in at the time, the postman rang the bell and I took them in person, though I didn't always have to sign anything. I think I signed something once. But all this is neither here nor there, because Amazon.co.uk is a big ripoff! GO TO PLAY.COM INSTEAD! Lower prices and free delivery make my daily shopping so much sweeter. Woot. LightNinja
Originally posted by Dave Grohl Amazon.com left my 5 games that I ordered on my porch isnt that a bit unsecure??, they should be more worried about that things, the games can be stolen and the sender would say that he did his job and you'd lose your money...
