Rogue15 Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I didn't eat any turkey..just ate chili. lol. going to relatives/friends this week to get my fill, and won't be back til sunday night. going to pick up a "new" car....89 mercury lesabre.....
Kjølen Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 Yeesshh, Happy Thanksgiving to the Americans. Now people, can't we ALL be thankful each and every day?
Jared Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 yea..happy...late...pilgims killing native americans day.
Rogue15 Posted November 28, 2004 Author Posted November 28, 2004 heh i got the car. it's alright. buick lesabre (dunno why i thought mercury?!) it's an 89 jus tlike my oldsmobile. but has less miles on it....gonna go get its oil changed tomorrow and get it inspected sometime this week....i think only thing it possibly needs is new shocks...=\ definetely getting a cd player installed in it by my bday...can't stand near-crashes caused by changing the radio stations cause of commercials every 5 seconds. i'm gonna get some bumper stickers and other stuff on it make it look sweet. from what i hear, this car *should* last me another hundred thousand miles. it also likes to GO, unlike my other car. took it up to 90 on the freeway, that was sweet.
GUNNER Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 yeah, happy belated turkey day.. And 15, don't you think you should keep it under 100mph for a few weeks.
Rogue15 Posted November 30, 2004 Author Posted November 30, 2004 yeah...i usuually go 70-80 on the freeway. going the speedlimit on the freeway here (65) is actually dangerous. especially if a semi gets behind you. need to get its serpetine belt changed and need to change the transmission fluid. it's got 116,000 miles on it. w007 tomorrow is december!
Taos Posted December 1, 2004 Posted December 1, 2004 lol how long is this thing going to last with a 116k miles on it 15?
Rogue15 Posted December 1, 2004 Author Posted December 1, 2004 prolly a year. people have been telling me they get good mileage, and that number is low for that kinda car.
Nairb Notneb Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 116k is no big deal I drove a car until it hit 250k. Then I sold it for 550 bucks!!! What a deal, I got it for $850 and drove it for over three years and 150k miles, four tires, fan belt, oil changes, 1 water pump, brake job, 1 mufler, 3 head lights (kept filling with water in the rain) and 1 battery.
