headlesspartan Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 we now in sith lords tht there r 3 sith lords( i think), compared to the first with just one sith lord does this mean tht this game is goona be 3 times as big, with 3 times as many side quests and 3 times as many allies and badass badys?

Darth333 Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 I don't know. I saw somewhere that there were about 100 000 dilaogue lines while Kotor 1 had about 40 000. On the other hand, I alwasys hear the devs say that it would have about the same lenghts as KotOR 1 (but more replayability)...

Cant really remember where because I have got so much info in the past 2 weeks on this game it kinda makes it hard to remember where you saw everything.
Grishnakh Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 The first game was pretty long, so if I'm gonna be realistic I don't think TSL will be much longer. And it seems to me that almost every game turns out shorter than what the developers say before it's released, just look at Fable and Halo 2.

I know I've played lots of other RPGs that were longer but sometimes, the risk is losing people in the middle of story and have a story that just seems stretched for the sake of stretching it. For such a game like KOTOR that relies heavily on how good the story is, they must sacrifice a few things in order for the story to be fun. I will make a better example. Look at how short Max Payne 2 is. I finished it in two days. Look at the story from uniquely a story stand point. The story here is just right, not too long, not too short. From that standpoint, you know the story is complete without stretching.
