level max

every1 knows that on kotor 1 u couldnt get past level 20, and today on ign i was lookin at this pic of this evil dude and down the bottom it said he was on level 24.this also could meen that the game could be alot longer so they made it that u could lvl up further and does anyone know wat the lvl max is, like maybe 30 i thought.

I've heard "40" circulated about everywhere, so thats what I'm assuming it is, though I don't think its official yet.

Because the game uses the D20 Epic Classes the safe bet would be level 40 max until we see otherwise, as level 40 is the standard jump from 20.

 

Though I do remember Akari stating they may remove the cap all together then we would get 99 or so... that would be real cool!

I agree, it does. But I won't have a problem with it if the cap is 40 instead of 20, unless it means you have to kill hundreds of extra enemies just to reach the last level.

On the official kotor2 site, (in the FAQ i think) there was a question about the levels, and they said 40 i think, but they also said that they might delete the level cap completely!

Bah it's no fun trying to kill 1 000 000 monster just to get to level 99. We need a cap but I hope it's a bit harder to get there then in KOTOR1.

Well now we know for sure that there is no level cap, that's what IGN said in their review, so unless they didn't know what they were talking about that's the way it is.

If IGN can be trusted the limit will not be in effect so you are only limited by the number of badguys you can kill and experiance in the convs.

As RedHawk said, traditional D20 games go to level 40 if epic characters are allowed. I really don't see KOTOR 2 from being that much different than the D20 rules it's based on.

I have looked at the files in the game and the xptable.2da only goes up to level 50 so level 50 is the cap.

You did? How many HP and FP did you end up with? Is it places in the game with respawning enemies, so you can kill as many as you want?

I think the cannocks on Dxun respawn.Not sure though.

I Had 572 Vit And 1073 Force And Had Pretty Much All The Dark, Neutral & Light Powers. Ohh, And I Trained At The Tomb Of Korriban. There's A Room Where You Find A Dead Jedi And If You Keep Seaching His Body 2 Hissses Will Appear For Every Search. I Used Insanity And Force Storm On Them So It Went Pretty Quick Since I Fought Like 14 of Them At A Time.
