starmark2k Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 I was having a thought while playing star wars: jedi knights: jedi academy that it would be good if they did a star wars game crossover with KOTor and fore mentioned jedi academy. Basically it would be an RPG like KOTOR but based in The era of the new republic. your character will be like the jaden korr (but not him) from JA going to train as a jedi at Luke Skywalkers jedi academy. somthing will happen and you go off with team npc like karl katarn and jan ores to stop somthing dark and sith esq from happening. They could meet characters from the film and even have them join your party (Like lando calrissian and R2-D2). Your ship could be like the corillian YT-1300 like the millenium falcon. Its just an idea but what do you fans of kotor think.

Only problem here is a bit of a timeline issue. Wasn't Jan Ors killed before Kyle Katarn would ever be trusted with fledgling Jedi? Oh, and another team npc I would like to see is Mara Jade.

I'm basing my data on the jedi knights game series and jan was alive in outcast and although you never saw her in JA you got the impression she was alive. and mara jade would be a good team NPC

How about we have a game set in the prequels series were you start as a child and you are training in the Academy on Courascant and there is Yoda and everything and you go up and you can slowly inch to the dark side or go to the light side. Though the catch is that when you are a teen that is when the decisions between light and dark happen. (You start off as neutral.)

And if they went with the clone wars then they are right back to the original problem of being really limited with what they can do canon wise.

Thats why the past is the best way to go in terms of developing a great story that many people are not to familiar with, mainly something that is between the movies, books, comics and other Star Wars based games that are MEANT to build upon the Star Wars universe. I would rather see a game based on something before the republic even existed, Id rather see a game where Marka Ragnos is NOT a ghost but a living being, or Exar Kun? Freedon perhaps, heck even Naga Sadow.....the history in each of those sith lords eras are very very hidden, so done the right way massive ammounts of things can be done with those eras.
