Writer
First Contact and Nemesis were my favorite Star Trek movies... y'all are right... the whale one was sort of dumb... going back in time to find humpback whales so earth wouldn't be destroyed... dumb storyline, not the greatest acting... probably the best part was when they were in the hospital going to get back one of their crew members and the doctor stops at the bedside of an elderly woman. He asks what's the matter and she tells him that she's going in for dialysis. "Dialysis!" he exclaimes. "What's this, the dark ages?" Then he proceeds to give her a pill and she takes it. When they are walking back out, her kidneys are functioning properly! I used to watch Star Trek: Voyager all the time, but then I got to know a little too much about it... I decided to lay off for a while and haven't gone back to it since. Star Wars rocks, of course and always will, though it doesn't seem to have much of a story. (Don't kill me:p ) It's mostly action as far as I can see; action and special effects. It shows what we can do... personally, I'm looking forward to Episode III for the special effects, not the story, which I assume is going to be all about Jedi dying and Darth Vader coming into existence. Doomie
I think you can't compare them. Sure, they're both Science fiction, but the way i see it, we've got too many kinds of SF to stillhave it under one name. Star trek is just another kind of SF, and therefore I think it's stupid to compare them.

Doomie
i always wanted the Borg to be in Star Wars, i thought it woulda been interesting.... That's no moon... It's a cube! "You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." *waves hand* "You do not need to assimilate us." "We do not need to assimilate you." But enough fun... If they assimilate someone who is force-sensitive, can all the borg use the force?

For some On-Topic: What is the Borg? half human/alien part machine, forcibly assimilate beings into their collective consciousness. The Borg acquire the knowledge and abilities of all those they assimilate. The only race to conquer Earth in Star Trek in both the show and Star Treks EU (both times it was reversed by time travel)

Doomie
Borg: We are experiencing difficulty with the assimilation of species 1138. Yoda: Futile, resistance is not, hmmh? Yoda is way too fast and too short to be assimilated. Also, I wonder if their shields can adapt to blaster fire?
lukeiamyourdad
I like the od ones well enough. Spock is cool And Star Trek IV: Free Willy was fun Come on! It has such a good message! Save the whales! Save the future! There is one gripe I have about Star Trek. Aliens are evil, humans are good(except for Khan I guess). This is what I like most about Star Wars. Humans vs humans. Star Wars has a certain epicness that Star Trek doesn't.

legameboy
I love Star Trek. Some episodes and movies are so bad it's comedic, and others are so good you're leaning on the edge of your seat. It really gives you just about every single genre of entertainment wrapping into one package.

Phasers and blasters bout use forms of energy, so Borg would probably resist them. Wookie bowcasters use energized pieces of metal, so they would probably do something.
