Commander 598
In LA, we have days where it's either Doe or Either sex. Most weekends are Either, while the weekdays are doe. I believe thanksgiving weekend(The whole week) is Either sex. We can also hunt with semi-automatics of any kind, including rifles with accessories like aimpoint sites. But I still use my bolt-action rifles regularly. Mostly because they happen to be a bit lighter and just as accurate as my M1 Garand. Not to mention I don't have to wory about crushing my thumb in that heavy bolt in 6AM darkness. I think the only possible law is that you shouldn't hunt deer with something too small(.223/5.56mm). Tierce
You know, this be may totally off topic or on topic, but its funny at the type of sh*t they show on tv nowadays. i remember one night i was flippin through the ol' channels, and i landed on one of the hunting channels. At this particular moment in time i was willing to downgrade my standards of viewing pleasure, so i sat there watching these two guys hunting with bows, and you know *tense moment* they found a doe. So i am like, they cant show them actually shooting the doe... man was i surpised, and alil pleasured/ disgusted. But in the end it was just funny to me. Zoom Rabbit
There are deer in mass quantities continually going right through my yard. I'm not kidding; you guys would be so jealous. The other day I was testing out a new Marlin 700 22LR semi-auto rifle I'd just gotten at the pawn shop, and checking to see if the spare clips I'd bought fit and work correctly, when--I sh*t you not--three deer walked directly into my line of fire and looked at me with innocent curiosity. 'Hey look...it's a human with a strange stick pointed right at me.' I sighed, clicked on the safety. I don't have a tag, I don't feel like skinning and butchering a large animal, and I want the local deer to remain fat and stupid on the property in case civilization collapses and I get hungry for venison. I threw a rock at the deer and they ran away. That's me gun and deer story. All true.
Keyan Farlander
For some reason I always believe that when a deer comes into my yard, I can walk up to it and pet it without scaring it away. I haven't been successful yet, but I figure if I work on my ninja skills, I will have enough stealth ability to pull it off.

I have images of you sitting in a rocking chair on your back deck with the rifle and a cooler full of beer, whistling "Heeeeeere deery deery..." Good luck developing that talent! If you get good enough it'll be a great way to pick up women. And Lyme disease.
Commander 598
Well, a couple of months ago, three deer happened to waltz out in front of me during squirrel season. I **** you not, I could have killed one of them with my USMC Kabar(Shameless Two Part Promotion) and had it been a month later, I would have. I guess this means I am the stealthiest of the XWA.net krewe.

Nitro
You have my attention... http://s93395188.onlinehome.us/images/hellsingbg.jpg That one's 1280x1024 since that's what I use on most of my systems, but I've got a 1600x1200 version if you want that too. I don't like it much with icons over it, but I've got two monitors (the second's a 17" LCD that's on top of my TV), so it actually ends up as kind of an LCD poster on top of my TV. Looks great, though. Especially when I turn off the lights and the other monitor.
edlib
Ugh... so difficult to move this morning... so much turkey... 60% of my body chemistry now gravy... cranberry sauce oozing out of every body orifice... stuffed with stuffing to the point my eyeballs are bulging... And I have to do it all over again today! My entire extended family couldn't get together yesterday, so I'm having a second dinner today with those that couldn't make it. Oy! My clothes are going to be tight by the time I go back to work Monday. Speaking of clothes: I had to pick up a couple of new pairs of shoes and a new watch this week. I'm really glad I did it on Wednesday, instead of waiting until the weekend, even though they would probably have been on a better sale today if I had waited. I probably won't set foot near a major retailer until well into January at this point. The holiday shopping season is now upon us. Yippee.

Rogue15
congrats, scar! maybe one day they'll consider you safe enough to board a ship. XP black friday at walmart wasn't too bad.....it was kinda fun actually. I actually sold the Hard Drive Camcorder! $600+...plus i sold a few other cameras, so my mgrs should be happy. i got 2 dvds for 3.50 each.....uh Sphere and 13 days. i saw sphere on tv once, and a friend gave me the book after i saw it. uhm.....i saw batman begins...it rocks. rented hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, i'm the only one in my family that likes it. -_- tomorrow im gonna pick up my rifle. don't think they'll let me buy the ammo for it on the same day...hmm....maybe i'll be smart and buy the ammo first, then pick up the layaway. ^_^ i work tomorrow 2-10....and sunday 2-9....that'll be 7 days in a row, even if it's not considered in a work-week. illegal, imo. Rogue15
that's what i did, or rather my dad did since i had to go work right after i picked it up. -_- hopefully i'll get to fire it tomorrow so i can get a good feel for it before monday. Darth Vader was at walmart today, I missed getting my picture with him. -_- I got a good laugh seeing some pics of little girls next to darth vader. Almost all the thanksgiving food is gone. the yams and stuffing is no more. and the good crandberry sauce (the jelly kind w/o the actual dried skins of the berries) is gone. There is still pumpkin pie and pumpkin roll. other than that, all that remains is the turkey. my least favorite part of the meal. Renting lots of movies since my mom can't get around much...gonna watch charlie and the chocolate factory and hotel rowanda tomorrow after work i guess. Wildstar
Found out last night from my sister that my aunt, who lives here in Brockton, broke her hip and had to have surgery. She's a tough woman (she works through very bad rheumatoid arthritis) and I expect her to recover, but I don't know how it'll affect the immediate future: she's celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary on New Year's Eve and there was a big party planned.
