Well, all things considered, it could have been a lot worse...

He could have showed up, and it could have been his dad standing there. :dozey:

That's something no amount of therapy will ever resolve. Only shock treatments and a full frontal lobotomy might be able to help in that case. And even then...

I got a $1600 laptop through an employee-only offer at work for $900... I must say, I love wireless networking.

This post is coming to you live from Nitro's shitter, courtesy of Linksys and Intel Centrino Mobile Technology.

Just watched "Auto Focus"; the movie about Bob Crane's life (he played Hogan on Hogan's Heroes.)

Wow, what a perv.

Although it's really too bad he didn't live to see the internet. He really would have been in his element. In fact, he could have had a very successful 2nd career on the web, it seems to me.

Remember that great computer I was telling you about? Well I gotta get the damned thing fixed. It wouldn't run my online based games or even some other online functions with Yahoo and MSN messangers. Damn people not putting the thing together correctly.

Right back atcha, chief!

Man, am I tired tonight!

It didn't seem like that long a day. Must be all the turkey. And gravy. And ham. Etcetera.

Hey! Where is everybody?

Must get this thread to the 1200 mark before midnight Dec. 31!

So close,.. so very close... must start new discussion...

I think I'll be changing my avatar, sig, and title with the turn of the calendar year. I'm taking suggestions. You are the folks who have to look at them the most... what do you want to see? What do you think would fit the way you view my personality?

i love archery.

played The Third age for Xbox 2 days ago...my sister got it for christmas, it's REALLY cool. alot like final fantasy, but lord of the rings style. :joy:

narnia is getting hard. I'm at the beaver dam. it's fun though.

I'll also have to make a new signature and avatar sometime...it'll probably be morrowind-style. :)

Hmmm... interesting. My first avatar was also an animal... a skunk. You thinking a comical cartoon monkey, or a big, powerful Kong type?

In other news... I just finished watching the entire Star Wars saga on DVD, in order; including both chapters of the Clone Wars cartoons.

Took several days, but now I can honestly say I've done it.

I still say it plays better if you watch it in the order they were released, though.

Definately. I don't have any of the Star Wars movies on DVD. Except AotC. And I think I actually have that to my sister a while back. Until there's some sort of saga box set, my VHS versions will do just fine.

Should be easy. ;)

We may actually go over by a few...

Now that I'm done with the Star Wars series I think I'll go on to the Jack Ryan series of movies, which I recently acquired on DVD. I had 'Sum Of All Fears' on DVD already, and 'Patriot Games' and 'Clear And Present Danger' on VHS, but I've never owned 'Hunt For Red October'. Now I have them all.

Then I might watch the Hannibal Lechter series after that. I recently got 'Silence Of The Lambs' on DVD too, completing that set.

Then it's back to work. Gahhh...

Give me a week off, and it feels like I need another.

I had all kinds of plans this week too; list of chores and things I desperately needed to get accomplished this week before I go back to work.

I blew them all off.

It might be months before I get this much time to take it easy. I'd be crazy to spend the entire time working at home and then go back to work exhausted. Right? Right?!??

No... I really don't think so either... but I'm gonna relax while I can anyway.

I wish I had time to take it easy... I had Christmas Day and Boxing Day (it's a stat holiday in Canada) off, but other that, I'm gettin' worked like a two-dollar hooker.

That's the nice thing about working at an educational institution. When the students get time off, generally so do you.

I do have to work tomorrow night though,.. but since that's for extra money I'm not complaining. I would never do anything on New Years Eve otherwise, so it's one way of getting me out of the house.

Once we are back to work it's non-stop until June, pretty much. We are busier next semester than we have ever been. Every slot that can hold an event already has one booked, and they're looking for additional places to put even more.

Should be fun.

I'm off till the 25th of January myself, from school at least. Still working whenever I'm needed on the job, but other than that I have a lot of time to read what I want to read for once.
