El Sitherino
Originally posted by Astrotoy7 hey, no one said 'illegal' or 'bootleg' or P2P anywhere, lotsa ppl with iPods and the like purchase music electronically... saving on delivery and packaging etc. One of my fave labels Digital Hardcore sells tracks at 50c, meaning you can get a whole album at $10, which is almost 1/4 of the price of getting their CDs brought here from Germany I know that, but you gotta remember, mention download and album, you soon have illegal talks on your hands. ZBomber
"bootleg" Hey, nothin wrong with bootlegs! As far as I know, they are 100% legal (for Aerosmith, atleast) since they aren't copyrighted or something. Unless of course, you are probably talking about bootleged CD's, and not bootleg concerts, which would make this post (like my life) pointless. Mike Windu
I don't care if it's popular or not. What's good is good. Sweet Child O Mine is my favorite GNR song. >>
Acrylic
Originally posted by ZBomber Yeh, usually my favorite songs by bands are the ones that AREN'T popular. Well, Stairway to Heaven is my favorite song of all time, and that's usually the only song people know them by. But still, popular, or not popular, what Mike said is true. "What's good is good." And that's true. As far as unpopular goes, "Down By The Seaside" by Led Zeppelin is one of their greatest songs in my opinion. It's a shame barely anyone knows about it. Whilst I agree that Stairway is a great song, I find it to be somewhat over-rated, and doesn't truly reflect the genius of Zep. Songs like The Ocean, Moby Dick, Gallows Pole and some of their later stuff like Kashmir and In The Evening are better than Stairway, at least in my opinion. Anyway, as for my top 10, I own so many CDs that I can't really give you a concrete answer - if you asked me tomorrow, it'd probably be different; but this is my best shot... (In no particular order) 1. Blind Melon - Blind Melon 2. Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti 3. Faith No More - Angel Dust 4. Pearl Jam - Vs. 5. Ben Harper - Burn to Shine 6. Frank Black and the Catholics - Self titled 7. Soundgarden - Down on the Upside 8. DMB - Before These Crowded Streets 9. Pixies - Bossa Nova 10. Silverchair - Diorama

Moby Dick is one of those Led Zeppelin songs I can't stand. My list of Zep songs I can't stand: Moby Dick Hats off to Roy Harper and Four Sticks They just give me a bad vibe. Oh well, Zep has 83 other (studio) songs that I enjoy.
ZBomber
Kashmir is definetley my favorite Zep song. The little intro is so awesome. The Aerosmith songs I can't stand? St.John (It's a song about, you guessed it, Saint John. Of course it's not very good!) Jesus is on the Mainline (Ick, the original is pretty good but this cover blows) Baby Please Don't Go (GAH!!! There are so many covers of this. AC/DC did one too. No matter what band does it, this song SUCKS)
Mike Windu
I am not sure about the official title but "Dream On" by Aerosmith is my favorite song of theirs. >> And out of the 7-8 songs I've heard of Led Zeppelin, I think I enjoy the Ocean and Kashmir the most. Check this out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=47072&item=3774269661&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW That's the guitar that was used to record "Eyes of the South" and "Bury Me In Smoke". I'm in the market for a new guitar, but that bid's too rich for my blood. As far as Corrosion of Conformity go, Wiseblood and Deliverence were my favorites by them.
