Skinkie
This thread covers most of our classic rock interests. That's a quick start to this. But in order to finish it I'll say everyone go buy all of Collective Soul's albums. Or, at least the Self-Titled, and Dosage. Trust me.

Alien426
I'm listening to The Coral's self-titled album and Radiohead's OK Computer. But since I'm a soundtrack buff I also bought some most of John Barry's remastered James Bond soundtracks.

CapNColostomy
*Nods to Grooveh* We like alot of the same stuff. I like music quite a bit. Right now I'm listening to alot of Lamb of God and American Head Charge. I'd make a list, but it's getting late here. And I'm getting lazier by the minute. edlib
I like a little bit of everything... blues and jazz, folk, classical, pop and rock (all sub-genres of both), country and bluegrass... just about everything. Actually, it 's probably a lot easier to list what I don't like to listen to: which is pretty much just Gospel and Hip-Hop. Artists that currenty have my attention: Yes The Dixie Dregs Alison Krauss Jethro Tull XTC Radiohead Eric Johnson Kings X Steely Dan Wes Montgomery Pat Metheny Randy Newman Jeff Beck J.S. Bach Anggun Charlie Parker Republica There are of course many more than that,.. but those are the ones that come to me off the top of my head without looking around at my recently listened to CDs. Orbyss
Oh, man. I thought at least of few of you'd be into hardcore(-ish) electronic the likes of which I subject myself to: Easy IDM: 2 Lone Swordsmen (any of their more early stuff/AKA "Sabres of Paradise") Black Dog, The (AKA Plaid before 2000) Boards of Canada Chemical Brothers, The ilya y. rostovtsev (friend of mine) Bola Kraftwerk/Karl Bartos µ-Ziq Orbital Plaid (also credited as Atypic, Balil and Tura) Prodigy (very occasionally) Utah Saints (very occasionally) "Acid Jazz"DJs: Amon Tobin (also credited as "Cujo") Bonobo Jaga Jazzist Kid Koala Hardcore/Drum & Bass/Experimental: Aphex Twin (Richard D. James) Autechre Jega Ambient/Other (Mixed) Future Sound of London, The Global Communication Higher Intelligence Agency Orb, The Then I listen to orchestral, organic music such as Baroque, Romantic, Classical and Contemporary musical movements and classic rock (occasionally for a trip down memory lane) such as Pink Floyd. Done grew up on the Pink Floyd, I did. I also have a weird collection of very bizarre stuff, including but not limited to 80s and 90s pop music (again, it's a nostalgia thing) and Swedish mainstream (blame it on the friends). But I am sickened by the radio. Cannot take the radio, and I certainly refuse to listen to modern mainstream. Yeah, I know. I'm "one of those people". Orbyss
...i used to hear techno/dance stuff some 9 or 10 years ago... Oh yes that is a phase we must all grow out of. Though I still like some of it, again, for the nostalgic value. Sometimes. Not often. [Prodigy]...i used to like them... Yeah, I should have specified that they sort of died after... what was it, "Fat of the Land"? Which I didn't like a whole lot in itself, but... yeah. Kraftwerk is just interesting being that they are world famous as "electronic pioneers". I really dig some of Karl Bartos' new stuff, though. "I'm the Message" included in that. edlib
Actually I took a counterpoint writing class in the style of J.S. Bach where the motto was: "If it ain't Baroque... FIX IT!" I guess you had to be there...

Orbyss
Gay for Baroque, there's a brave admittance. It's at times like these, when I fear most for my internet reputation, that I ponder; just how thin is the line between brave... ...and stupid?
