tk102
Nobody needs two Windows keys. I use the right one as a Mute button.
Sabretooth
I don't mind it, but it still seems pretty useless sitting there...

Sivy
i don't mind it what i do hate is keyboards with 'power off' keys and 'standby keys', but especially 'power off' keys. a few computers at my work have them, and i'm forever hitting that key by accident and shutting the computer down. most of the time you get boxes up asking if you're sure you want to do whatever, which is handy if you've press delete or something by accident. but no, with a shutdown key, no boxes or messages or even a 'goodbye' just blank screen and silence. Alegis
Mostly browsing, and if you got a session saver then that's fixed . For that I got a shortcut on desktop with C:\WINDOWS\system32\shutdown.exe -s -t 00 (windows xp). Shuts down the computer immediately. Sometimes got to leave pretty quickly, hate dozens of "app not responding/save work yadayada" windows..Don't need em.

Those keys can be deactivated pretty easily. Simply right-click on the desktop and choose properties (or go to Control Pannel > Settings) Then go to Screensaver > Power Manager > Advanced. At the bottom you should be able to chose what the keys do...

toms
In 10 or more years of computing I'm not sure i have EVER used it, at least not on purpose. A lot of usability and navigation is habit though, and everyone develops theirs differently. For me, i'd have thought an "alt-tab" key for switching applications would be more useful. Or cut and paste keys. I never use the right click key either. Actually, my home keyboard has a load of extra keys for "web" and "email" and i never use those either... its easier to just click on web or email. Kain
Originally posted by joetheeskimo5 Yeah, no offense but I find this thread a tad stupid, the key was put in for a good reason. You're exactly right. I mean, I love when I'm playing a game and I have to push ctrl to do something and all of a sudden, my game disappears, my computer looses a race with a dried out snail, and when I finally get my game back, the fonts nothing but wierd blocks, I'm dead, and it takes my computer a half-hour to catch back up.
