My mod request is pretty simple, infact I'm working on doing it myself but scripting seems to have a hatred for me. Anyways I would just like all the teir1 force buffs to last 30second teir2 last 60 seconds and teir 3 last 120seconds.

 

Energy Resistance, Force Aura etc etc etc all the buffs. Because after playing through 1000000 times I'm now playing insane with the hardcore mod and the fights last waaaaayyyy to long for pansy little 20 second buffs.

Would someone be willing to write up a mod that allows Visas to become a prestige class? Pretty much on the same terms the Exile does; level 15 with a LS/DS under 25 or over 75.

I have a mod out that makes your trainable allies become Prestige classes when they become Jedi, adapting it so that Kreia and Visas can also become Prestige classes shouldn't be too hard. (knock on wood)

 

I also think the game allows characters to triple Multiclass, so that might make things interesting...

Could you explain what you mean here?

 

Multiclass is generally leveling in 2-3 classes at once, right? But I dont think you mean that.

 

In Kotor "game allows characters to triple Multiclass," must mean:

 

Jedi Guardian/counselor/sentinel -->prestige class --> 3rd class

 

Triple multiclass must be --> a third class?

 

I think that would be interesting and should be done, it will go nicely with the mods in the future which create atmosphere's/worlds/maps to level your character after level 28 and after you have beaten the game. Levels 28 to lvl 38 --> even 50 is screaming for a third class.

 

I keep dreaming of a Dxun-Mandelorian War that never stops. Trigger - Spawn Mands -Kill - go 20 feet Trigger - Spawn Mands -Kill- repeat.

 

Go back to original Ebon Hawke landing area for meds, grenades, for its your base of operations and someone could even mod in a vendor/ dark sith if dark/ twilek if light, etc.

 

The occassional darksith or lightside equivalent could even be worked in 2-3 places to simulate a on going battle effect similiar to Telos before Ravenger with Vaklu men and TSF forces.

 

I say GO GO GO for it.

The game allows your you to have three classes. You can only level in the most recently attained class, and I don't know of any natural way to add another multiclass, but if the comments in the code speak the truth then it is possible.

Well, I'm probably just an overly ambitious n00b, but I figured I'd throw this out there.

 

Why hasn't anyone rounded up a bunch of you and essentially churned out an entirely new game? With all the stuff that can be modded - I know there are new areas out there, new NPCs, new items... lots of great little bits and pieces, and it adds up. But it's still just bits and pieces.

 

I suppose I'm just not satisfied with a new skin here and an unlocked door there. The best part of both games for me was the storyline and characters. How things connected and unfolded. I had a billion ideas for what a new game could include, even before I finished TSL the first time.

 

There would be a lot involved, but with the number of people here, and the amount of talent... just seems like we could be playing our very own game, rather than waiting for III.

 

Okay, you can tell me I'm crazy now, and why it would never work. I can take it ;)

Theoretically, it is not impossible. However, the principal obstacle is time. Obsidian had a full time team of pros working on TSL for more than one year, with better tools and even they had to leave a lot of things out of the game.

 

Personally, I have very little free time and cannot even think of getting into something like that (for now, I cannot even find time for a new area).

Why haven't we done it? Because of the following needs we have:

-Food/Water

-Shelter

-Social Interaction

And by a bunch of us taking on a project like this we would sacrifice all of the above needs (and presumably die within the first month or so).

 

Although KotOR is a fairly moddable game it is an uphill battle since we don't have source code for the Odyssey engine or any of the developer tools. I think a lot of the modders do *stunning* (better than the pros), and it is done from a position of disadvantage.

In my opinion the main reason this wouldn't work is because this is KotOR we are talking about, not NWN. Such a huge collaborative project is theoretically possible for NWN but with KotOR I'm 100% positive we'd be paralyzed by the EULA before we even finished all of the tools we'd need.

Amen to that :) Even a simple "skin" takes a couple of hours to make it realistic. I also agree that the time and quality in our skins and mods in many and most cases surpasses the creators. Our robes and masks are FAR MORE detailed and thought out than the in-game ones in my opinion.

 

I'd simply like to see the droid planet a viable MOD that we PC guys can play though in-game. :)

alright I'm back, it's been like a week since I've been here, I just had the computer upgraded and only installed KOTOR 2 again just yesterday...

 

anyway though monkeyjoe about the Mandalore armor, here's the final version that I would like...

 

Starting defense of 14, Dexterity 3, Dexterity bonus +6

 

Fully upgradeable

 

 

Bonus Feats: Wrist Launcher proficiency and Personal Cloaking Shield (This is one of GO-TO's specila feats so if you could possibly change the desciption for it to match my character that would be cool)

 

 

 

and that's it, I've decided I'm just gonna add the other feats I want with Kotor Tool.

This is a suggestion that I think would be really cool. I thought maybe I seen it somewhere in a video/trailer of TSL earlier on, but maybe it is just my Imagination.

Anyway I was wondering if there was any way at all to make it so you could crush multiple enemies at the same time. Like force storm for example affects several enemies at once. I have tried a couple things, but I am kinda sucky at scripting and I am pretty sure that in order for it to work scripting needs to be done. So if anyone could give it a shot that would be awesome.

I like the work you make for the kotor games and i was thinking if anyone know if he or she could make a Kel Dor model/head, (like Plo Koon, dont remember but I at least think it was Kel Dor they were called)
