RedHawke
Those are very interesting! I like the tattered effect as well... good work!
Harker
Not exactly pleased with the screenshots really... I even boosted them to be a tad brighter. Well... once I have them all done up and in DL-able form, maybe peeps can see the subtle details more (i.e. the embroidery on the Thon robe.) Btw, RedHawke- thanks for posting! This is my first skin or mod or anything, it's good to have the pros and vets check out the noobies! That said, I'd love to have you make some original robes and allow me to take a crack at skinning them (per your input of course.) Some of the simpliest tools and effects in Photoshop are turning out to be real handy here... much more so than the stuff I do daily at the studio. Harker
Originally posted by Nasadus I have to learn how to do that. Actually, I found out how to do it accidentally. I was touching up a robe that appeared to have a metal cuff for the sleeves, and typically with anything in Kotor, metal shine = alpha channel. However, robes (save for the ones that DEFINITELY have metal on them) do not have the alpha channel properties that transfer into specularity. Alpah channel = invisible! Thus, when I loaded up the above robe, I have a section "missing" at the end of the sleeve. I could see right through it!! Duh- alpha channel *smack*! Then I wanted to see if I could make the tattered robe and I was successful. The tattered ends do have one apparent drawback when viewing in game... however, I won't point it out since many people won't notice or mind the side effect. I'm not sure about any other programs, but Photoshop handles Alpha channels easily to yield great results... even if accidental! Thanks for all the praise guys- work continues. The Robes ARE done, and I may release them seperately. I hit a snag with my GoTo skin (looks horrible IMO) and trying to think of something fun to do with that ball of evil... besides just making the lines a different color and give him a different "HAL" eye. He may get put to back burner status until I get further inspiration...
Drazin
Those look remarkable. Very well done. I am a little upset though, that you used the Wallhang symbol I found along with the Celtic Knotwork embroidery I was planning to try. But atleast you did a very very good job, which I can't say I could have done. Excellent work.
Harker
Sorry Drazin, but thanks for the compliments. I used that wall hang symbol on the Natth Cowling, but used something different for the Thon robe (the elven looking robe.) I took that yellow "Republic symbol," dropped the circle, recolored it, copied and flipped. Then ran a bunch of copies together like a chain and tweaked them accordingly to look like embroidered leather. Played with some emboss and shading effects and blam... I think I may do another robe that emcompasses more of that embroidered look... similar to what Queen Talia is wearing, but with more definition. Btw- to anyone interested, if the request is reasonable, I can do custom color variations (or at least try) of these to fit individuall needs... just PLEASE keep the request in the form of a PM. Harker
I went ahead and loaded up the robes... I couldn't get the screenshot tool to work (applet crashed and won't retry.) But anyways, HERE YA GO!!! Enjoy! More coming...

Dan_P_Fuller
Hi! When are you going to realease that head. It looks damn cool. Great work on the robes. Cheers Dan
Derc
Wow. Now I'm really starting to envy you PC people. But I must say, that Nomi Robe is damn sexy(for a lightsider). Great work!
General Kenobi
I love the robes man, the more detail the better I always say. The robe colors and textures look realistic.
Harker
Thanks guys!! I'm wokring on heads... going to release a bearded male with and without Tatoo. I'm not totally into the sith tatoos "appearing" later on. So with this guy, he's got a blueish color tatoo above his nose that turns to grey with D1 head, and black with D2... just another neat part of the transition! Plus I worked on their eyes too... I like flaming lights of evil over pale yellow zombie eyes in my dark siders!
Harker
I'm also working on a Darkside extreme head. That is... if a player wants to have a new toon that they intend to basically go no direction but Dark, then this will be your head!! The "normal" version will basically be a D1 version, the d2 version will be the standard look of when a PC first steps into the Darkside, and then a new Uber Darkside head for when the "path is complete." Obviously, if you were to use this guy to be a lightsider... it would look a bit "off." I'm open to suggestions on which head to use (male only- easier to skin )
Drazin
Give the slightly bald guy a shot. He looks like he could be really evil looking if you shave the rest of his hair off. Cant wait to see what you come up with.
Harker
Is that the caucasian with the scar around his right eye?
Drazin
Not the Vanilla Ice looking guy. The buzzcut guy that you see in the header images on this forum, has a soulpatch I think. The guy with the least amount of hair
Harker
Ahh... yes... definitely white guy though. Because a few of the brothers have zero hair as well.

LOL, that's exactly how i ended up with my reskin of a tattered dark jedi robe.
