Tokarev Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 Ah yes, I stumbled upon this at gamespot as of late and was quite surprised at that. It's coming this fall and MAYBE he will deliver what he has promised in this PC installment. Thankfully, I haven't bought the game. I rented it, but never had the time when I did, only a couple hours to get past the training and everything, take a major quest and that's all.
Rogue15 Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 yeah i saw that the other day. btw to people too lazy to click the link: It's Fable: The Lost Chapters
Boba Rhett Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 I feel so vindicated. Right after I got done with the Xbox version I said, "Well, that was nice but where's the other half of the game?" Man that was a short game.
Astrotoy7 Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 man, I remember ET waxing on about fable and its jackass creator, some guy with eux in his name.... Fable was a fizzer from all accounts.... let BioWare and Square-Enix take care of the RPGs kiddies.... mtfbwya
Acrylic Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 I just got Fable the other day ($15 after coupons and stuff) and it's pretty good so far. I'm pretty hooked on it.
ET Warrior Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 new content, more quests? Maybe they'll ship it with a replay value greater than 0 too I was duped by Fable, I wish I had rented and not bought :\
abcd1234 Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 Originally posted by ET Warrior I was duped by Fable, I wish I had rented and not bought :\ Ah, I feel this way too. Worst $50 I have spent on a video game ever.
Rogue15 Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 pfft....i thoroughly enjoyed fable. sure, i waited since i got the xbox in '02 for it, i wasn't surprised when half the stuff that peter was going on about wasn't included. It's a great game, not morrowind or kotor though.
legameboy Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 I'm excited about it. It might tide me over until Dragon Age or KotOR III comes out.
ET Warrior Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Well, if 3 days of video gaming can tide you over for several years...then yes
Tokarev Posted March 14, 2005 Author Posted March 14, 2005 Never payed much attention to Fable until close to release, then I hear about how the game was just a major disappointment and it's only a rental.. I hear much was promised, but not delivered..
toms Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 I think Pete made the mistake of promising the perfect game (with every feature he could think of) and then deliverying an average game (without many of those features). To be fair, many of those features never made it past the brainstorming stage, but next time he should probably keep his brainstorming to himself until the features are finalised.
Doomie Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 I wish they did this with all games. I don't mind waiting longer for a game, as long as I can eventually get it. And it's not a cheap port.
Astrotoy7 Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 Originally posted by toms I think Pete made the mistake of thank goodness you didnt write his full name. ET was blowin his trumpet like it was prom night back in the day.... made me sick of the guy and his french-canadian name.... LMAO @ Pete and his crap game, serves him right for shootin his mouth off before realising that concepts/ideas dont always make it to the end product.... [/rant] mtfbwya
PoM Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 Ah yes...Finally i can get revenge on my stupid X-boxer friend who keeps downloading games to his modded box. It's spelled moly- -neux
swphreak Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 Fable is just overhyped, and I think the Fablebashing is overhyped as well. I quite enjoyed the game. Got a kickass set of armor and the coolest sword ever. I think when I stopped playing, I owned quite a few villages. Maybe I'll replay it as good side.
