General Kenobi
@DarthSmallz Yep I love new lightsabers @Shadow Blaze Thanks man @Glamador Green is the only one for now. I am however working on a dark side version which of course will be red. There will be another version of the saber as well which will be a tribute saber to Nomi Sunrider (which the hilt was inspired by) BTW This saber will have this core color to it: Click top left corner. General Kenobi
This is a "deactivated" version of the saber;) Ole' Mavvie really put out a nice saber for me to lay the graphics on for me per the design I gave him. I can't thank him enough for this little bad boy :elephant: anywho Another Screenshot: Deactivated Version This is the download site: Click Me For Excitment Screenie

General Kenobi
Open up Gmax and wish you knew how to operate it. ...lol Then PM with your buddy (like me) and we swapped favors I helped him he helped me. Mav187 made the model for me and I put the design and graphics on it. I think he used gmax but I"m not sure. You could PM him and he could tell you for sure. Hope that helps

General Kenobi
You can just check the stickies up top in the main Holowan window. They have a section on where to download it and several other programs you'll end up needing as well. KOTORtool, Gmax, KSE are the ones I use the most for that stuff Another Screenshot: Deactivated Version This is the download site: Click Me For Excitment Screenie

Not usually man I usually am a a pc designing various things for a few employers a day bout 7am-2am 5 days a week What am I thinking I still need to work on my HeAdShOp mod this weekend and go through some script from Darth333 to see if I can learn how to do that to help complete it. Version 1.0 is almost ready for release. As well as making the characters custom robes personally for them. I've already got Mira's and Atton's up for download on my site now. ChAiNz.2da
Good looking saber guys! So it's meant to replace the green saber in-game correct? I noticed it's model #3.. Just wanting to make sure cuz' there's no .2da file (no merging )... Will the red version be replacing the in-game red saber as well? Just wanting to prepare myself in case I need to do some more .2da work (253 lines thus far)... Anywho, the model looks great as always Mav, and superb skinning Melignous! It's in my override

General Kenobi
Hey guys glad to see the feedback, keep it up & glad to hear you like it! As for the Dark Side version that is red @ChAiNz. I plan on making another .tga with that core color of red just so that doesn't happen. I'm hoping. LET ME ASK THIS TO EVERYONE: Can't I just open up the mdl file with Hex workshop and find the entries for the name of the saber color texture and then just change it to my own custom one? I do think I have to keep the name length the same as the original or the texture won't look right? I have did this for the standard in-game hilt (I copied, renamed, reskinned w/custom saber core color) and it turned out fine EXCEPT for a "black hue" around the saber that wasn't supposed to be there. Anyone with thoughts and comments on this will greatly help in speeding the tribute and dark side versions! Thanks in advance for the help DM Screenshot: Deactivated Version This is the download site: Click Me For Excitment Screenie
Ranins Hull
the same thing happened to me the first time i tried to make a custom color and core for a saber. all i did to fix this was use photoshop's majic eraser tool to erase the black part around the saber's "outer glow" hope this helps bro'
General Kenobi
@Ranis Thanks for the tip I'll try er' out. And @ ChAiNz I didn't realize that it did that but it does replace the green saber. WHY? I thought custom sabers were just that custom. Now I'm not happy at all. Can I point the mdl to an original green tga? instead of the default one and that would fix the problem? To make it not replace the original green saber you would need a new uti file for your saber, a modified crystalupgrade.2da* (if you want it upgradable), renumbered mdl and mdx files and thats about it I think. The uti will need to point to your model (which is where the mdl and mdx renumbering comes in). The crystalupgrade.2da* file will need to know the names of oyur saber so you are able to upgrade it without it disappearing. If you want aunique green colour aswell you will need to hex edit the mdl file to point to your green (naming it green02 works fine and keeps the names the same length) and a new tga file named the same name. * I think thats the name, been a while since I checked. PS its nice you see you promoting your mod and screenies (niiice saber btw) but you don't actually need to put them in at the end of each of your posts
Mav
How to make your custom saber upgradeable DM, Just go check out that tutorial, I made it for KotOR 1, but almost all of the same concepts apply. Basically you need the following: -custom .uti files (saber and crystal) -custom icons with .mdl number -custom saber .mdl/.mdx files w/ a # outside the games range, and try not conflicting with other mods, I know the USM takes up 100 and up so don't use those. -custom textures, which you already have -updated upcrystals.2da file. Sorry, I would have done this for you, but I thought you were going to do it since I didn't know your .uti file names and such. Anyway, just ask away with any specific questions. I just use .mdl/.mdx numbers 003 for ease of in-game testing. My Bad, Mav
ChAiNz.2da
Originally posted by Darth Melignous And @ ChAiNz I didn't realize that it did that but it does replace the green saber. WHY? The reason it replaces the green saber is because your saber .mdl # is the same as the in-game green saber .mdl # numbers 1-10 are used by default in the game (represents all the colors)... Also, the "black" hue around your saber color sounds as if it's due to a non-existant .txi file for the saber blade color (if it's custom)... custom saber blade colors need a .txi with the following info: blending additive decal 1 name the .txi the same as your blade color (just with the .txi extension instead of the .tga extension)...
