its the medias falt

That is an incredibly foolish and naive thing to say. The media is the only industry able to hold politicians accountable for their actions, so if you want to blame anyone for "ripping Bush apart," blame Bush himself. And that goes for any politician, not just Bush.

OMG, ARE YOU SERIOUS!?! You don't read contradicting news stories do you? Either that, you just read headlines. Here, buddy, check out this blog. He does a very good job at critizing the NAIVITY, and generally speaking, STUPIDITY of the media.

Now, back to the topic, I watched Episodes I, and III, again the other day, and I realized, that the movies are actually anti-Socialist (or Democrat, take your pick). The guy in power (Palpy) seems a like good guy, tries to bring peace, using a hippy, "I've seen war, and I don't like it," attitude (think John Kerry). While he secretly takes control of the Republic, by eliminating the Senate's power (think of eridicating States' rights, and creating a strong, federal government). And finally, in a deleted scene from ANH (it's on the Radio drama and here) he pushes for a nationalized (socialist) government.

However, in the end, the Rebellion (or as the Democrats like to call us, The Conspiracy) wins.

Erm, John Kerry as a hippy? He's got a higher kill ratio than most soldiers ever should go through. Political affiliations be damned, I'm sure that the mercanary corps throughout the world liberal, democrat, anarchisitc etc still find the time to kill people in many amusing ways.

Political affiliation does not describe the kind of person, as hard as Americans seem to see it. There are some lefties who probably want to wipe out everyone who opposes their views, some righties already "in the process" of doing so and everyone who cares more about their personal lives more than some fat overindulgant beaurcrats, actually getting on with their lives.

i wish i could!! out of al the interesting news the media always talks stupid news (aka micheal jackson) and it just happens that they have a half hour special on the falty rumor of bush and papltine (ripping bush apart dont u think)

You may not consider something to be a good news story, but the rest of the country does, so the media is going to report it. That's how it works, and that's how they get ratings.

i mean micheal jackson and martha steart u call that news

i dont think so

I agree with you there. But sadly, a lot of this country is more concerned about celebrities than the actual issues.

ya but when there is a car bomb explotion in iraq or something they barely talk about it but they give most of the attention to little mikey

That's the problem! When the mislead, and misinformed, American society sees ONE car bombing, the news BLASTS it out of proportion, and American public forgets (at the according to the media) that we are AT WAR. In any war, according to history, there will be loses. And this comes back to the topic, why doesn't the media present the Good Stuff that is going on in the media. The media BARELY covered the provisional government and the elections, versus the violence. The media barely covered the training of new soldiers and the like.

Have anyone of you seen Team America? Well, learn something from Sean Penn; "I went to Iraq before we invaded, and the children were happy and laughing..." something like that, most of you probably know the line. Anyways, it's that kind of idiocy that the mean (and peaceniks) produce.

Well, I'm still waiting for the US to pick on a country that can actually fight back. I mean, the "separatist insugancy of the Iraqi axis of evil reclaimists" have a higher kill ratio than the Iraqi army did! Also, are you telling me you 'really' care about Iraqis? There are MILLIONS of people that are suffering under cruel regimes, could argue that some are meaner than Saddam ever would be.

Oh yeah, Team America is funny because it takes the pee-pee out of everyone and everything, I mean, I find it funny that they never do a mission without killing thousands of bystanders or the "suck my c-" scene or the Hanz Brix moments. They can produce good satire without making it appeal to wannabe politics majors.

As for the Media, well, bad news sells, I'm afraid. As a point, is recruiting yet ANOTHER army in Iraq a good thing? I think the country needs good cops, not another corruption of power that will beat the stuffing out of their citizens when their backs are turned.

I dunno, maybe I believe in civilian rights. :p
