Prime
The Thrawn trilogy is a good start, since it takes place a few years after ROTJ. What I would suggest is heading over to theforce.net and looking at the book timeline. This gives you the order of the books in terms of when the events happened. Also, it shows the books from different eras. What era are you interested in?
(Strider)
Here's a link to the Ultimate Timeline at TF.Net: http://www.theforce.net/timeline/ Look to the left hand side and you will find the timeline. As for the reading suggestions; Start off with the Thrawn Trilogy and the Truce At Bakura. After that, make your way over to the NJO series by reading Vector Prime. Prime
Cloak of Deception is about Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan before TPM and discusses why the Trade Federation was allowed to have a droid army. More of a political thriller, but I enjoyed it. There are several other books from the pre-TPM timeframe. There are no KOTOR era novels.
RC-1162
hey, does anyone know in which book Chewie dies(yes, he dies)
Mira Dona
hey, does anyone know in which book Chewie dies(yes, he dies) I believe that's Vector Prime @Bastila: One of my favourite starwars books is "I, Jedi". You may find it worth a read. Also try and pick up one of the many "Tales from. . ." which is a collection of a bunch of short stories set in the SW universe. It's a good place to start due to the fact that they are short stories, which means that you aren't commited to a whole book.
Astrotoy7
yay, an EU related question I will be starting the first of the post NJO novels in a couple of weeks Quite looking forward to it. If you have read it, no Untagged spoliers please > looks at Prime But in the aftermath of ROTS, EU is set to get rollin again, with the post NJO series : The Dark Nest Trilogy. One of the books Im most anticipating, is the book set immediately after ROTS, called "Dark Lord". It'll be mostly about how Vader discovers that wearing pantyhose and coating himself with vaseline will minimise chaffing in his new suit mtfwbya
RC-1162
actually the book set immediately after rots is the truce at bakura. if you want a good read, then get outbound flight when it comes out. it shows the idiocy of Mitth'raw'nuruodo(thrawn) in attacking a jedi commandeered vessel(which got blown up by the way, but some survived.) montnoir
actually the book set immediately after rots is the truce at bakura. You misread the last letter of rots - meaning he refers to "revenge of the sith" the truce at bakura and the one you are referring to is set immediately after rotj - which is return of the jedi. so the "dark lord" novel is set immediately after revenge of the sith. just clearing that up.
