Calapuno
Here's something I managed to do back after I first bought S&M when it first came out and wondered if anyone else had discovered it. Don't ride the Cone O' Tragedy Get to Gator Golfing Get Max stuck in the box Bingo, you can't get any further. Give it a go if your bored.
Laserschwert
And I thought you can't "die" in a LucasArts adventure... this is a dark day.
90SK
Actually, I'd say it's a fate worse than death. At least death has some closure to it.
Scummbuddy
are you sure you cant just leave max there while you go back to ride the cone of tragedy?
Calapuno
Nope, he says he won't do it without his little buddy, if memory serves.
Laserschwert
But in the end this means "death" for the two buddies... Max starving for not getting out of the tank, and Sam... for not leaving without Max to get something to eat... or watch some TV. It's so sad. counting_pine
Sorry to disappoint people, but there is a way out of this particular stalemate. Just go to the docent at the Ball of Twine museum, and ask him about the fish heads flying past the window. This will put the World of Fish on the map, so you can get the bucket of fish you need to save Max. While you're without Max, though, take the time to enjoy checking things in the game that are different without Max. For example, if you try to pick an object too many times, Sam will growl at you instead of whimper.
Calapuno
Curses, foiled again! Although I tried that out and indeed Sam whimpered... poor little fella!
ThunderPeel2001
It might be time to revisit this old chestnut! (Shame the music quality (not the must itself) is so bad, it always bugged me! The "CD" tracks are almost identical to the versions played by MIDI in the game - doh!)
Calapuno
Yeah, the CD tracks are great, but there's something quite charming about the fm synthesis of yore... plus you would'nt have the same great iMuse system at work without midi . By the way, who is the guy who bends spanners supposed to be based on? It seems jsut a little too odd to have a character that strong in the game...
