HP and the Half Blood Prince was definitely my favourite. I've read it through 6 times now. Great series, can't wait for the final installment.

Actualy he could destroy four Horcruxes, after all he did pass three tests in triwizard tournament, and four is just a chapter more, maybe he destroys three and has an epic struggle with Voldemort at the location of the fourth.

personally, none of them. In my opinion I "Harry Potter" sucks, but that's just my opinion.

Edited by CR: Please do not make any posts thjat are nothing but "flame-bait". If you don't like HP (as I do myself), just stay away from such threads ;)

This post had nothing to do with this thread, and if you think the books suck then don't post in a HP book thread.

First I like the Prisoner Of Azkaban. It is the best one in my opinion. With that plot twist and it is just exciting.

Second I like the Half-Blood Prince. It had an intresting past on Voldemort and one of the main Characters dies (Which I don't think is exciting).

The worst for me is the Goblet Of Fire. It was so boring. No Quidditch and you get a Triwizard tourament. I stopped as soon as it said, no Quidditch. The Film was terrible as well. They missed out a lot of stuff.

I also thought the Order Of The Phoenix was bad as well. I got bored by Chapter 20.

PS. I hope Dobby leaves in Book 7 and Moaning Mertle just rests in peace for all I care.

The Prisoner of Azkaban, hands down. The only one that comes remotely close to it in terms of excellence is the Goblet of Fire. Some quality writing there. The more recent books have had their moments too, but after reading Rowling's writing for 6 volumes, they've become predictable, so much so that I could feel the twists and figure out the mysteries as I was reading Half-Blood Prince.

I agree with the post above me.

My personal favourite is the Prisoner of Azkaban. The first 2 books are also good, because they introduced a rather fresh, unused and interesting fantasy world. But after that, the 4. and 5. book couldn't entertain me anymore.

The story gets sooo predictable...i always have the feeling "OMG why are the main characters that dumb, can't they realize what I realize?" And then i have to "watch" (yes, reading makes me see those things in my mind) them doing just what i knew would happen. That sucks :(

It really seems like JKR uses every option for a missunderstanding. While Harry was a nice and charismatic character during the first 3 books, he developed into a typical idiot teenager who can't deal with inevitable facts, whines a lot, and blames others for everything. ( I know i exxagerate)

I stopped after the 5. book, because IMO the whole direction where the story went sucked. From that "mysterious harry potter feeling" it went to typical chosen one vs great evil.

But so many of you stated the 6. book is the best... iam tempted to purchase it.

The movies (1-4) were all good imo, especially the last one. While i didnt like the book, the cg effects in the movie and the actors (apart from harry, ron and hermione) were great.

Personally, the movies suck in my opinion. None of the actors can act at all, really.

Can you?

I enjoyed both the movies and the books, the only thing I have a problem with is, that the movies miss some vitals parts and are too short....well, at least , the most recent movie that was released.

As a matter of fact, I can't. I recognize this, and stay the hell out of acting.

I may have exaggerated, I think that the movies are decent. They just don't capture the essence of the books in my opinion.

Never seen the most recent movie, but I can only blame that on being disgusted with the other movies. They never really seemed anything close to the books, which are alot more fun and time consuming. :D

I understand that, but I enjoy the books more because you actually get everything. I feel as if the movies are rushed and some important parts are left out or replaced.
