popcorn2008 Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Well some of us have been wondering whether or not the collector's edition of EaW will be DVD or not, well today I think I have found conclusive evidence.I got Battlefront II today for X-Mas (woot) and on the back side of the manual was an ad for EaW. But in the bottom right corner I noticed it said PC Cd-Rom and under it said PC DVD-Rom. Theirfore EaW will be released on DVD format as well. Which most likely means the CD-Rom version will have 4 Cd's lol. Also please note the release date isn't right on this so don't get all excited.

Tokarev Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 I wouldn't say a collector's edition on it, however I take it more as a thing of a standard DVD edition which will be nice regardless rather than all those CDs.. I wish more would jump on the DVD bandwagon. Thanks for the info.

We do know that there will be a DVD release and usually Lucas Arts makes the collector's edition the DVD version. The regular release is usually the CD-ROM one.

Does it say only the EaW collecters will be DVD rom or the original as well?
popcorn2008 Posted December 30, 2005 Author Posted December 30, 2005 It doesnt say specifically what version will be DVD, but it does say there will be a DVD release. Its either the collectors or regular or it could even be both versions.

A lot of game publishers turn out the regular version on a zillion CDs, then make the collector's addition on DVD, as sort of an extra bonus for paying the extra 10 bucks. Lionhead just did this when they released The Movies.
