Yes...I gotta agree with you. Concerning that is the main reason why the Dark Trooper is one of my favourite units. It can strike many units at once. Especially on the Death Star.....

AI rarely manage to shoot you inbetween shocks so you can take down 3 or 4 people at once with no trouble.

if so my fave is droid gunship laser cannons

If we can include vehicle weapons then my favourite is the superfast explosive projectiles that the AT-TE fires.

I prefer the Spider Droids laser cannon, it's easier to use and you can kill groups of infantry with it, whereas in a droid gunship it's quite hard to actually keep the beams on a target long enough to destroy it.

The only problem with the Super Droid laser cannon is that it can't take down capital ships in space. In which, I do that was the droid gunship laser cannons.

I've never seemed to be able to get the Award Beam rifle, i've had 20 or 30 headshots with the sniper rifle and not got it.

 

OMG I have the same problem! I've never been able to get the enhanced sniper rifle.... ever. I've gotten up to like 40 headshots in one life, gotten the "marksman" medal and switched weapons to only have the regular sniper rifle.

 

As for fav weapon... shotgun is probably my fav. I usually try to roll toward the enemy and blast him causing maximum damage and the thought of a droid running up to a clone and pumping him full of holes is just something that brings a smile to my face.

I like the Elite Rifle, and the Shotgun, Fusion Cutter ((You can kill droids with it, lol)) and the granade/radiation launcher

I would say that my all time favorite weapon is the award shotgun and a close second would be the Bothan cloaking device / flamethrower.

Award sniper is a mid/short range instakill rifle with a poor rate of fire and decent clip size. Start crying.

So is there some sort of server setting that allows use of these in multiplayer, maybe with lowered earning requirements for matches or some sort of unlock system?

Yeah there will be, you can set the hero requirements so i'm sure you can set the award requirements.

Well thats a good thing because some of the award weapons aren't as good as their non-award versions.

I agree, for example the burst fire "elite rifle" defeats the purpose of the fully auto blaster rifle. Although I understand the balance issues, if the elite rifle was fully auto, it would be rediculously difficult to kill someone carrying it.

It's only short range.
