TiE23
"Ferrofluid." It was made by NASA and displayed in Japan a few years ago. I can't believe I didn't know about this stuff. http://cosmos.hc.uec.ac.jp/protrudeflow/movies/wmv/profloD.wmv http://cosmos.hc.uec.ac.jp/protrudeflow/works/005/index.html http://cosmos.hc.uec.ac.jp/protrudeflow/works/001/index.html Pictures and Info: http://www.99express.com/posts/ferrofluid_sculptures.htm It's like if they put mercury and jello together. Its really hard to explain, but it's just plain cool.

TiE23
Another cool thing: Aerogel. The lightest solid ever conceived, weighs only x3 more than air (a brick size could probably be blown away by a breeze). Its pretty strong all things considered (I think like plastic). It's also very heat resistant and is an awesome insulator (1 inch of this stuff has the same insulation power for 10 inches of glass) You can also buy this stuff (it's very expensive) at a site called http://www.unitednuclear.com Check this site out, it's pretty cool. Look at their $100 super magnets that are strong enough to mess up your computer from 30 feet away. Samples of Ferro Fluid are avaiable there, too. Also, buy uranium, heavy water, and radioactive sheilding. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerogel http://www.unitednuclear.com/magnets.htm http://www.unitednuclear.com/aerogel.htm

Nalukai
if aerogel can stop bullets i say let it take the place of Kevlar..... looks to me that would be the bomb diggy in defense capabilites. if it can support 2.5 kg worth of brick with only a 2 gram piece... then chances are with a little bit of thickens it can stop a projectile as well.
