The Source
I wondered the same thing. I fear for humanity when horrid films like "The Matrix" even get mentioned in a thread about "best movies". ****in' a. Tha Matrix!?!?! This could have been a great trilogy, but I think they dropped the ball. There was hope until the 'Superman' shot at the end, and how the second and final one turned out. The Matrix does have some outstanding visual effects, but it took a turn in the wrong direction. I had really high hopes for this trilogy, but I was wrong... I am a SciFi fan just like everyone else, but there are movies that totally blow your mind, and they are not in the same genra. NonSciFi - Suggestions: 'Glory' 'The Hunt for Red October' 'Red Hawk Down' 'God Father 2' SciFi - Suggestions: 'Highlander I' 'Tron' 'Millenium' <---Not the TV Show. 'Black Hole'

Det. Bart Lasiter
Versus. It's a movie about samurai-zombie-gangster-cyborgs with lots of guns that seemingly never run out of ammunition. Plus it's subtitled.
igyman
How about these: The LoTR trilogy Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles Fight Club The Devil's advocate Forrest Gump Star Wars saga Sin City Mi nismo anđeli (english translation: We are not angels - I doubt any of you have seen this movie, since it's not an english/american movie. This is a Serbian movie, it's a hilarious romantic comedy and, since I am from Serbia, to me this movie is one of the best ever made.)
Jae Onasi
Well, since I do live in Canada and Hollywood is in the United States, I do watch foreign movies. OK, one of my favorite foreign films was 'Danton' with Gerard Depardieu. He gave one heck of a performance.
