RevanA4
don't get me wrong, the gameplay was way above par. its just the story builds up to the one climatic point, and then it ends. that would be one reason why so many gamers want Halo 3 to come out within days. um yeah. I was like WTF at the end. but the way it looks there gonna have 10 different halo's >.< Its microsoft anyway so yeah they won't stop untill they kill it

lukeiamyourdad
Yup, confirmed kids, Halo 2 will be heading for the PC: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6143976.html AND you need Windows Vista. Nice move Microsoft. I'll be laughing when this is a total flop...

ChAiNz.2da
AND you need Windows Vista. Nice move Microsoft. I'll be laughing when this is a total flop... Not only are they a bit "late" getting HALO 2 out for PC.. they're going to release it on a (more than likely) bug filled brand spanking new OS... I'll be joining you in that laugh LIAYD hehehe... lukeiamyourdad
I seriously don't know how much money they actually expect to make with this stupidity. Cathering to hardcore pc gamers who will most likely buy Vista early? Really, they probably won't be making much profit. Seriously, if they want to make profit on the current PC market, either make it bloody beautiful so that it absolutely supplants every game in terms of graphics on the market (like HL2 and FEAR) or make it as widely accessible as possible (like WoW). A port would probably mean only a slight overhaul in terms of graphics and the Vista requirement will reduce accessibility. Even then, a good part of the elitist PC market frowns upon the Halo games, considering it nothing more then a basic console port. Competition on the PC FPS market is much stronger. Halo 1 on PC wasn't that great a success and I seriously doubt the requirements put on gamers here will make Halo 2 a success.
stingerhs
bad, bad move by Micro$oft. what they want is a game to entice users from XP over to Vista. my guess is that they'll use Halo 2 to tout off the new DX-10 features that more than likely won't be released for XP systems. i was already pissed off about Vi$ta being such a hardware beast, and now i'm even worse off. thank you Mr. Gate$ for being such an @$$. Vladimir-Vlada
AND you need Windows Vista. ...Ugh. Oh well, I'll just have to look for it. It's not like I am going to spend much on it. About three hundred dinars, I think.

El Sitherino
I think they proved that when they denied the plea to release bug updates when that one worm was heading out starting the 3rd of February.
