Megan
I'm not too sure I would like a Psychonauts 2. It sounds great, but I have bad memories of sequels. Maybe that's just movies, though.
Mashi An'krekku
I had weird dreams of stuff that would happen in that one. ... I don't even want to talk about them now, so you're going to have to find out all by yourself.
Klia
Mashi you can put that in the dream thread. Tim Schafer said he didn't think a Psychonauts 2 would be a good idea as it's interesting but he wants to move onto other things.
Odd
I would like one, simply because Psychonauts was so short. However, what would happen in it? It would probably become just a longer repeat of the first and stuff, which could get old. :\
Thrik
Well, I'm kind of torn on whether I'd want one or not. I mean, yeah, it would probably be fairly great, and the storyline is also totally set up for a continuation. But then, I remind myself what else Schafer and Double Fine could come up with if they were to do something totally new. Back when Grim Fandango came out I was completely floored and wondered how Schafer could ever better himself. Although I don't think that Psychonauts knocks it off of its position as #1 of all time, it's at a similarly high level. But if Tim had done a sequel to Grim Fandango, which I was hoping for like anybody back then, it's very unlikely that Psychonauts would exist as it does - if at all. That would be a big shame. So, if he were to do a Psychonauts sequel, just imagine what brand new world we could be missing out on. Perhaps once the DF crew have done some other stuff they could return to Psychonauts and use the added room for crazy stuff that they'll have due to the evolution of technology to come up with an awe-inspiring sequel. I'd like to see them try something new first, though.

Hm... so DF needs to invent a time-skipper, so that they can hop into a timeline where they do make PN2, and go into another timeline where they make DF's Next Game (working title) then come bak here and sell both. DarthAve
I don't really know now if I want a sequal. The first was such perfection, how can you improve it??

DarthAve
We can just infer through the magic of fanfiction. Duh!
KingCheez
The creativity of Psychonauts, has in fact, opened our creativity. The ending was designed not so we would wait and play more video games, or wait for the sequel, but in fact, to be creative and make up our own ending. It was a get off the couch and start writing deal. Yay.

Udvarnoky
There won't be a Psychonauts 2. I think Schafer wants to do new ideas, but the definite reason why it won't happen was because Psychonauts didn't sell well. I do believe though that Schafer was prepared to make another had the game been a success.
nutmeg1992
I think I know why tim schafer only wants one psychonauts it's the same reason we all got one grim fandango he doesn't want it to turn out like the never ending Monkey island games where it keeps going and never stops.
