Reclaimer Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Ok, I recently bought KOTOR 1 for PC (I always played it on X-Box) and I got tired on Taris, so I decided to warp to Dantoonie, using danm13 warp code. Well, when I warp, it shows Bastila talking about our audience with the council, but as soon as I get control of my player, the game exits me out and I have to re-start the game. Now I have a few theorys.... 1: You must have Bastila, Carth, Mission, Big Z, and Canderous before leaving Taris. Or.... 2: The game hates me and won't let me warp. Help would be greatly appreciated, and if their our any patches I need to know about, I would appriciate them too. Thanks, Reclaimer
ChAiNz.2da Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Depending on "when" you warp to certain areas, some globals may not be triggered yet, in affect, messing up your game.. however, since you're warping in KotOR (as opposed to TSL) I'd suggest Darth333's Easy Warping Armband: http://www.pcgamemods.com/mod/6831.html
Darth333 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 The armband will have the same effects as as the cheat code. Unless you know exactly what you're doing and the effects it's going to have on the game, don't wrap or you could screw up everything. Global variables allow the game to remember what you did, to track down the advancement of the plot. If a global is not triggered, you may end up unable to advance the plot/quest/subquest. global variables may be triggered from many locations: planet arrival, dialogues or other events.
Reclaimer Posted March 1, 2006 Author Posted March 1, 2006 Thanks, one question though... Where can I find the band?
The Doctor Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 ChAiNz posted a link to it. Here it is again, though: http://www.pcgamemods.com/mod/6831.html
RedHawke Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Where can I find the band in game? Didn't it occur to you to read the readme file? That is the first place you should look, especially for simple questions like this... Installation and getting the armband in the game: ============================================= Extract the files to your override directory. If you start a new game, it will be placed automatically in your inventory under the name "d333 Warpband". You can also get the armband by using the cheat code "giveitem d333_warpband" (without quotes). Equip the d333_warpband and activate as any other armband. A screen will appear asking you to which planet you want to warp.Except for Yavin, the Rakatan Box and the Ebon Hawk to which you will be transported directly, a second screen will appear asking you the precise location where you want to go. See...
Reclaimer Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 Sorry, that readme overwrote another, for some reason, but thanks RedHawke. I appreciate your time for helping find this, thanks. Reclaimer
