The shows are funny for different reasons because the humor is different. I trust the Daily Show more, and honestly, that's where I get my news. The banter between Jon and his correspondents is LOL. The Colbert Report is like watching VH1's commentary on the political scene, (but obviously better), and the charm comes from the fact that the show is so biased and unpolitically correct. Colbert deliberately fosters a sort of cult around him, but I love both to bits.
