popcorn2008 Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 According to a new IGN article here the new Empire at War expansion will include a definite prequel planet favorite, Mustafar. Now this is all good, except I hope they arent planning to use the current model for volcanic worlds in Empire at War. From Revenge of the Sith it is obvious that Mustafar has constant erruptions and that the lava doesnt simply pop around as it currently does in EaW. Hopefully the Mustafar planet will include graphically intense erruptions or at least lava that can explode out of the lava rivers and smash onto units. Anybody agree with me there?
whiteflash Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 totally,i mean eaw volcanic planets were ok but mustafar is the place where anakin became vader i mean it is so erruptive and violent u never know when something will occur,i hope the lava will explode and splash onto units ans kill them it gives it a more realistic approach.
arkodeon Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 There could be a campaign mission of Darth Vader returning to the scene of the crime, too. That'd be cool. Although... he'd be really mad.
Thrawn Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 I'm sure the maps are getting an upgrade. They've already said the scale is much bigger than before.
aggie_john Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 What would the population of Mustafar be any way? It seemed pretty deserted except for some worker droids and seperatists, well unit Vader showed up.
Darth Alec Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 It is deserted... Only some bug like creatures live there.
The Death Star Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Perhaps Vader would like to 'Test' The 2nd Death Star on Mustafar... Heh heh heh...
popcorn2008 Posted May 12, 2006 Author Posted May 12, 2006 Actually Mustafar is populated by a race called the mustafarians. They are divided into two groups, the taller thinner northern mustafarians and the shorter but more sturdy souther mustafarians. So yes, mustafar does have a population. You can catch a glimpse of them in Episode III, when Anakin gets out of his ships and when Obi-Wan and Anakin are battling on the volcanic river.
Darth Anarch Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Interesting. I wonder whose side they would be on when you invade...
Commander Obi-Wan Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 This will be quite interesting to see....very interesting....
