"Affirmative," said Niner and the group moved into the next section beyond the now destroyed TB. Suddenly, Tech, who was reviewing the information he had managed to copy, reported in on a strange finding.

 

"Sir, i think we have a positive location on Red-5," he said to Niner.

 

"What? Where is he?" Niner asked hopefully. He had a chance to get a squadmate back and he would not leave it.

 

"He's located in a heavily guarded prison facility at the end of a canyon on the left face of this one," reported Tech, staring intently at the area map. "There's also a town nearby. It seems, to deactivate the automated defenses of the prison, we have to knock out the shield generator."

 

"Then lets move," said Flash. "We have some time to spare. Let's bust Red-5 out."

 

"Amen to that, ner vod," said Niner and they continued onward to the town.

Shadow Force quietly entered the town, sticking close to the canyon wall. "Are we on track?" Niner asked, looking back at Tech.

 

"As far as I know," Tech replied they continued.

 

(Let's get this thing going again, eh?)

''Again, if you want me to infiltrate the compound and disable any defenses, I'll be happy to cause some mess.'' Albino added.

((Agreed)) Delta made sure his blaster rifle was ready. "Lets go get our brother out of this hellhole."

((yes folks, i'm back! but Niner, we'll be having joint control over Omega, ok? because i might not always get to get on the net.))

 

The group came up to a huge door with a group of battle droids guarding the entrance.

 

"Take 'em out," growled Flash as he opened fire. As the the two groups exchanged volleys of plasma fire, a red bolt caught Raven in the thigh and he went down with a grunt. Flash jogged up to him and bent down.

 

"You okay, soldier?" he asked.

 

"My walking speed will drop, but i'll live," Raven replied. As the rest of Shadow Force took care of the remaining droids, Flash administered a painkiller and a notch of bacta serum to Raven.

"Great, we still need to bust Red - 5 out, and now we have a wounded man. Can we call for an Evac, or is that not an option?" Delta asked.

"Negative, Delta," said Flash. "We're too far in this now to back out. Besides, the automated turrets based at the prison facility will vapourise any incoming ships."

 

"Besides," said Raven. "I'll be fine, it's just a little burn, nothing a commando cant handle."

 

"Whatever you say, ner vod," said Scout skeptically.

''I never got a reply'' Albino said, ''Do I infiltrate the base, or do you want me to stay with the squad?''

"Our strength lies in numbers," replied Flash. "We have no intel about enemy strength and we can't risk anyone, even as skilled as you, to run a scan of the base. We'll have to go in blind except for the schematics Tech sliced out."

 

They came up to the end of the canyon, which was basically another large gate like the TB.

 

"Scout, Twister, get to work," said Flash.

 

"On it sir," they replied and began to work at the door with their drills.

 

"It's a good thing i took a couple more of those bombs, eh, Skip?" Tech said, nudging Flash.

 

"Don't let it get to your head," said the latter jokingly.

Caos approched his master. The room they were in was dark and was only illuminated by a small window on the roof. "Master, the trap has been set.As soon as the Clones reach the city, they'll come here. Without a dought." Caos informed.

A female voice replied "Good work Caos. I no longer require your services. You may continue with Dooku's task."

"Thank you master." Caos bowwed, at the same time dropping several tiny objects on the floor before leaving.

''Roger that!'' Albino replied as the squad proceeded deeper into the designated area.

The gate was a smoking ruin and Shadow Force stepped through cautiously.

 

"Keep your eyes open and watch your six," said Flash. As soon as they had walked a few steps, the mayhem began.

 

"Heads up!" shouted Twister as he swung his blaster rifle around and started firing at a large group of droids. The rest of the Force joined in and cut down several droids, but the tins were steadily replaing their ranks and slowly overwhelming the commandos.

 

"We can't take them head on!" shouted Flash over the hail of blasterfire. "We need to split up and scatter into the city."

 

"What about the locals?" Tech shouted back.

 

"Some of them might be sympathetic to our cause, but no executions whatsoever."

"That goes without saying" Delta said "It's a cold day in hell when clones needlessly kill innocents" I'll go left, see if i can raise a little hell over here, see you guys when these tins are all gone" Delt said ans he began to jog left, firing the whole time.

Vibro was unsettled by the large number of commanoes he was surrounded by, but it didnt stop him from following orders, or working with a team. He heard the order from Flash to disperse into the city, so he walked slowly backwards towards the town, firing his Geo. Beam weapon the whole way. He looked back and saw a dark enough area to slip away, he turned back and paused to watch the other clones dispersing, and taking heavy fire. Before he left he slipped out his portable rocket launcher, and unloaded four rockets into heavy pockets of enemies, hoping to ease the fire enough for the other clones still stuck in combat to find a place to hide. He put his PRL away and slipped into the shadows, heading for a house he saw in the distance, the only one that looked unlocked, and open, easy place to rest, and take down patroling droids.

Flash was running like the wind with four SBDs on his tail. He held the blaster behind his neck and shot wildly, but without any effect. One of the SBDs launched a rocket from his wrist launcher and it detonated two meters behind Flash, causing the Commando to get launched into the air. He landed hard and got the wind knocked out of him. As he lay, gasping for breath, the SBDs slowed down and and advanced slowly with blasters pointed at Flash. Just as the latter thought he was going to be blasted, his squadmates came to his rescue.

 

"Eat plasma, bolt-head!" shouted Tech as he jabbed his sniper-attached DC-17m into one SBD's vulnerable abdomen and pulled the trigger. The droid blew into shrapnel and the other three momentarily hesitated, and that was all Omega Squad needed. Scout leapt onto one SBD's back and began hacking at it with his wrist blade. Flash managed to gasp back into shape and was busy attaching the Anti-Armor onto his DC. Scout and Twister took down their respective droids, but the last one remained. This one jabbed his blaster into Flash's neck.

 

"Too late, buster," said Flash and let loose an Anti-Armor round. The SBD was blown off him and into the air. It landed in pieces a few meters away.

 

Flash got to his feet and took a deep breath.

 

"Thanks, vode." he said.

 

"No problemo, Flash," replied Tech. "You always did get into trouble."

 

Flash ignored him and opened the comm channel to all his comrades.

 

"Shadow Force, do not engage the enemy head on, repeat, do not engage the enemy! Use stealth and avoid as many patrols as you can, we need the element of surprise here."

 

Once done, he turned to his Squad.

 

"Alright, soldiers, Search and destroy!"

 

"I thought you'd never ask," said Tech and parted with the group as did the others. With a cautious glance around, Flash resumed his pace, trying to find the codes to the entrance of the sheild generator entrance.

''Stealth. My favourite word.'' Albino said as he activated his stealth unit. ''This has gone on long enough. It's time I crippled the automated defenses.''

Delta listened to Flash's message over the comm. "Ok he thought, time to take these obsolete metal head out for good. He began looking for anything he could use against them. He spied a box marked "Mines". "Hah" He thought, "time to give these losers a big present." He began setting the mines on the road way.

"Albino," began Flash as he walked along. "Refer to your map. See the enemy building at the right top corner of this town? That's your destination. "Get in, slice the first computer you see and get the codes to the shield generator building. If you need backup, give us a shout."

((I'm really sorry that I haven't been able to get on lately. My football practice is somewhat overwhelming. Anyway, just to make sure, Shadow Force is spread out in the town now, right?))

''Roger that, Flash. Give me a few minutes, they won't even know I was there... until it's too late, heh, heh.'' Albino said as he approached the designated building.

"I'm on standby if you have trouble with the terminal," announced Tech. "Scout will cover my back with a rooftop sniper position."

Once again, thanks to his stealth unit, Albino slipped into the building unnoticed. He quickly found the terminal and hacked in, he got the codes and disabled the shields, he also disabled the mines, unfortunately the turrets were controlled from the main facility and they couldn't be disabled from that terminal, so Albino logged out and left. About two minutes after he left the building he settled in an abandoned house and contacted the rest of the team: ''Shields and mines are down, but I couldn't do anything about the turrets.'' He explained everything as quickly as he could, ''One other thing, on my way out I overheard two of the enemy officers, they said that they are planning to execute Red-5 in an hour, so we better hurry. We can't let a teammate die.''

Vibro cautiously strode into the house, it seemed old and abandoned. He looked around, searching as best he could, he found it was empty, so he hunkered down, destroying small droid patrols, as he rested. He heard the voice of Albino come over his comm, it was staticy, and extremely difficult to disipher. But he put the words together, and figured out what Albino said. He knew he needed a better position to report on the comm. He headed upstairs, he found a spot near a window, it was the best spot he could find to send a message.

 

"Flash, Niner, Albino, if you need those turrets down from a distance, I've got a rocket laucher that will do the trick, copy, over" he said over the comm to the three said people.

 

With a sigh of bordom, he got down from his slight hidden perch. From out of the shadows behind him came a light built, but tall figure, he heard a creak of old floor timber. He turned slightly just in time to see a chunk of wood hit him in the head. He went down with an audible 'Thud'.

 

"F-f-fflasshh, N-nineerr, I-I'm down, r-repeat, I'mmm, dowwee....." he gasped into the comm in his last few moments of conciousness, the last word 'down' slipping into a sigh, as the world closed in around him, and all went dark. The last thing he remembered was a soft distant voice saying, "is it dead?"

Albino heard the entire event over the comm. ''We have a man down. I repeat Vibro is down. I'm close to his position, I'm heading there to investigate.'' Albino activated his stealth unit once again and headed out of the abandoned house he was in.

"Copy that, Albino." said Flash. "Tech, Scout, head out with him and provide cover. You three locate Vibro. The rest of us will take care of Red-5."

 

He turned to Niner.

 

"We both will get into the generator facility and rig it to explode. The rest of you will wait outside the prison camp. On Niner and my signal, you will burst in, neutralise any guards and liberate Red-5. Copy?"
