Free or cheap photo editing software??

My trial period for Photshop just ran out and i dont have the cash to buy it (unemployed atm ) So I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good program to use for skinning KOTOR thats free or cheap

http://www.gimp.org/, never had alot of time to play with it, but I think you can skin with it

Picasa from Google is free. I don't know about it's functionalities and if it would have everything you need though.

testing gimp now, it does work for skinning. looks like it will take some getting used to but it should work until i get enough money to buy photoshop.

If you have Windows and the .NET Framework installed, you could try Paint .NET as well:

If you're used to photoshop and decide you like gimp, there's a free hack for it that rearranged all the menus and stuff to emulate Photoshop's layout. It's pretty close to photoshop this way and as I use a combination of the two it's quite simply to go back and forth as they're so similar.

Ooh Ooh ooooh! I like this! Thank you very much Inyri, I am using an old photoshop right now, but I sometimes used GIMP.... It was hard to switch back and forth for me, but not anymore! This is great!

i have. and its not an image editing software per se. you can change the quality of your pics through many functions, but you cant skin with it.
