Pavlos
The Apprentice appeals to me because the concept of modern business is very intriguing to me. Yes, only in Britain they are trying to get a job with a company that produces the finest electronic goods 1974 has to offer. To be honest, I am indifferent to reality TV, I don't watch it, so I don't get bothered by it. I can see that the original creator of shows like "Big Brother" was an absolute genius. He found out that the type of TV that the lowest common denominator of the population likes is watching other people live their bizarre little lives out. I hold no grudge against people who watch these shows, many of my friends watch them... and one is obsessed. For all you know, you could be a bunch of middle aged people complaining about the 21st century equivalent of rock and roll .
Maverick5770
Reality TV is crap. All this junk like survivor and American Idol, America's Next Top Model, I really don't like it. What I really hate are the reality shows were they start filming a family, then they get the family to fight and argue and bith lots to make good TV, thats bull. The exceptions to my boycott of reality TV are Mythbusters(which really isn't reality TV as far as I'm concerned) American Chopper and American Hot Rod. I'll be damned if I start watching Fear Factor, the Apprentice and Rockstar Supernova.

The Source
Whats a perfect topic for these forums. Hehehe... Since WB & UPN are becoming The CW, Fox is getting ready to take over some UPN channels with My Network TV, all they have been doing lately is showing reality tv. If I remember correctly, they are running low-budget shows until late September (until the 24th I believe), so they can save up cash for their grand opening (premire). If you think they are bad now, what untill they have to come up with the cash for HD. I believe by 2009, all networks are required to switch over to HD. WB (TheCW) - Has been showing the Gilmore Girls and Seventh Heaven every night. UPN28 (TheCW) - has started to intergrate WB heavily, and vise versa. UPN38 (TV38) - has abandoned 80% of its UPN's shows. They are now play baseball and local garbage. I locked them out of my line up. NBC - is getting ready for a Science Fiction Drama year, so they are showing various reality stuff. According to some friends over at NBC, I was told they are showing low-budget shows during the summer to save up for the Sci-fi shows. I guess they take a lot out of the budget. Last night, there were reality tv shows every hour on the hour. It didn't matter where you turned, they were all playing garbage. I think it will be worth the wait for September. There are tons of rumoredly (is that a word) good shows up and coming. I hope they don't bring 'The Apprentice' back. Has anyone attempted to watch the 'Treasure Hunters'? It is an exact mock of the 'Amazing Race'.
Jae Onasi
Reality shows are the reason why I'm a CSI, Criminal Minds, and Hallmark Channel/TVLand fan. Except for Dog, of course.

Mace MacLeod
Hmm. Okay. I used to watch American Chopper regularly, but Sky is one a rerun binge here so there's been no new episodes in a while. At least these guys are craftsmen and genuine workers, though I prefer the Great Biker Build-Off myself. More designs, more different types of bikes, and not so much of the incessant flag-waving from the Teutul family. Incidentally, my daughter still flinches involuntarily wheneven Paul Sr. starts a yelling spree. I don't mind the builder shows as much as the "we have no talent or class at all so let's try and make fools of ourselves on camera so we can get famous" shows. Paris Hilton is a prime example. She's famous...why? And here in Ireland, one of the biggest shows on is Big Brother 7 or 8 or 9 or whatever the hell it is. I thought American TV was idiotic...well, it's really got nothing on British or Irish TV. Sad and pathetic but true. I would have never believed it if I hadn't seen it. Big Brother is debated in the national newspapers here alongside the Israeli/Lebanese war and the disarmament of the PIRA and UVF. It's unreal. They had a Celebrity Big Brother here not long ago featuring an actual MP from Britian. All I remember from the few seconds I saw of it before I could leap to the remote was a transvestite with collagen lip implants so bad it's like the dude was eating bratwurst. "Stupid Spoiled Whore" video playset, show the whole world what a slut you are! And Samnmax221, it's spelled "eels". "My hovercraft is full of eels." Dammit dude, how do you misspell a four-letter word?
El Sitherino
The only reality show I can ever watch is Final Fu. Mostly because it is made of awesome and win. (Ernie Reyes Jr. is also made of awesome and win, the dude needs to be in more movies.)

lukeiamyourdad
Paris Hilton is a prime example. She's famous...why? Because she did that video. That's why. The only good thing to come out of American Idol is William Hung. http://youtube.com/watch?v=CxfTQbGCA4Y&search=William%20Hung Cracks me up every time I wouldn't put Fear Factor as a reality show. Just a game show where people eat disgusting things. It has a dumb aura similar to the one of "regular" reality shows, but it isn't one.
