itchythesamurai
So, I was reading on Wikipeda as I tend to do, because I'm a nerd, and I was reading the article about Monkey Island (island) when I spotted that the caverns in Secret of Monkey Island are known as the Caverns of Meat. I was wondering if this was an official title? Personally, I always thought the caverns were a superficial layer of Hell.
Samnmax221
I'm pretty sure thats vandalism, of course now I want a meat cavern.
Joshi
Possibly someone confused with Psychonauts? I just remember mushrooms and bones really. I did change the article just now, although not that bit, it claimed that "The games often involve Guybrush Threepwood," and I just took out the "often" because it didn't sound right. itchythesamurai
I vaguely remember a line like "I always knew there would be mushrooms in Hell." Anyone more hardcore want to confirm or deny that?
Ray Jones
I confirm. Hmm. But I do not remember what Guybrush said in the german version. I would say it wasn't something like that. Anyone more hardcore want to confirm or deny that?
Joshi
Confirmed by... well me. But that was one of my favorite lines in the game (amongst others) and I'm as hardcore as they come so there ya go.
Mr Cheese
In MI1 it was just referred to as hell. In MI4, Herman calls it "the caverns of meat". What you read was referring to the line from MI4.
Joshi
Ah, fair enough, I obviously don't remember MI4 as well.
