Is this supposed to be a major upgrade or something, considering the fact that you are making a thread on this? I have 91.31, so I suppose I'll take a pop.

cmon sabrez, if you are a gamer, new graphics drivers are like gold, as they are (hopefully) always improving performance and reducing glitches in games, as jmac has reported for NWN2. If you also run a media center pc, they are also hugely important for the Hi-def improvements.

@Qliveur...get a download manager like getright...start the download, go to bed... when you wake up, theyll be ready !!

I've already got Leechget 2006 which is pretty good, IMO-is getright any better? I have every intention of downloading this. I was just bitching. :)

My joke of an ISP also boots me off regularly, whether I'm active or not, so downloading big files can be a real pain in the ass, especially if for some reason or another you can't use Leechget's pause/resume feature.

Before Downloading any new drivers always read through the release notes This is much more important than simply installing the latest drivers just because they are out. You know the old saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it" well this applies. Why install new Video drivers if they don't improve performance with any of the games that you play.

There may be consequence to installing a new driver, such as decreased performance with other games. this has happend to me several times. The worst is when the driver fixes a problem with one game but creates a new problem with another.

Also with constantly updating your Drivers you can fall under what I would call the driver placebo effect, eventhough you installed a new driver it does not mean your PC will instantly be operating faster. I have know a few people that every month when a new video driver comes out they instantly download and install it, and the always follow by telling me how much faster their game runs.

Unless the release notes specifically say they fixed something in a game you play or app you use and your current video drivers are stable, it's best to not upgrade.

Well I don't recall seeing a performance jump after installing any particular nVidia driver. :indif:

as T7 has stated, if you have a read of the release notes and there are proggies and bugs that affect you, then you should have those issues resolved, if your card has been affected. Of course, if you are running an old a$$ card, the best written drivers in the world wont help :)

Of course, those of us running media center PCs and SLI gaming rigs, new drivers are teh yummeh :)
