Totenkopf
I was kidding. No offense taken, just noting you had it pegged right regardless. (puts on spare pair of industrial strength asbestos underwear ).....I'm with DI on this one. Have never actually liked cats. Not a pet person really. Astrotoy7
I'm probably going to get quite a few DS points for this, but... ...I hate cats They leave hair everywhere, they smell, and they are incredibly selfish. The only affection they give out is in exchange for food, IMO. That, and they are a gargantuan effort to maintain, and another whole in the income... I don't have pets, largely because of cost and the fact that I'm at an office all day, I generally don't have time for them, and they would probably get in the way... lolz...who's a sourpuss cats give as much as you give them. neglect them and they'll become detached. The amount of cats that 'run away from home' because they are unhappy(and have found a better place to stay!) is staggering, and far higher than dogs. my cat's smell wonderfully. They are indoor cats and groomed well. If they are an outside cat, then you have to get them used to bathing if you want them to be clean - just like dogs. Cats hardly ever crap and pee where they arent supposed to, dogs are terrible in this way. My cats are toilet trained and used their tray from day dot - never an accident. (Unlike the dog we used to have) As for affection - its variable. My Astro waits for me at the door, follows me around the house, sits and watched me play NWN2 for hours ! Kimba is friendlier with my gf - and being a bengal doesnt really liek being cuddled - but lets you pat him occasionally Da Vinci once said felines are one creation's perfections...he wasnt wrong. mtfbwya
EnderWiggin
I love cats! One outdoor (stray) cat had three kittens in our garage around the end of May. Ever since they were about 6 weeks old we've had them in the house. They are Bagheera, Mocha, and Gato. (The names are from the panther from Jungle Book, Coffee, and 'Cat' in Spanish.) Maybe later on I'll take pictures. _EW_
Samuel Dravis
I've had cats in the past, but those have all died. However, after a long time of negative catness, one of my sisters rescued a stray kitten wandering around a bridge. My parents intended to give it to the animal shelter but were unable to actually go through with it. Here's a pic of it from a few months ago, a little after it was found (now it is much fatter but just as lazy). Its name is "Kitty." Go figure. The good thing about cats is that you can leave them alone all day--as long as they have a litterbox, food, and water, they're fine. They don't need someone to be home all day to take care of them. We leave our cats alone all day all the time when Jimbo and I are at work and kids are at school.

Emperor Devon
It's awful when a cat has to go. I've had a couple die, and several more go missing.

The afore mentioned 'Big D' finds it appropriate to poo behind the stereo and wipe it's butt on my pillow. It has done several times, i get my own back by tying a paper hat to it's head and putting it outside.
Anakin Skywalker
What's this Nancy going soft because of Kittens?!??!?!?!? Ha Pottsie was right, you are no longer the Most Evil Ahtonaught. I hate cats, but that is my opinion, right now anyway, it'll probably change when I'm 18.
Astrotoy7
I had a cat once, watched it try to run across the street only to be run over by a car... That's very sad. I know its a bit of a strange thing to do - but on the very distressing times I come across cats that have been killed, if possible - I stop and try move them and find something to cover part of them up(branches/leaves) or to keep birds from picking at them. I just leave their faces showing(if intact) just in case an owner is looking for them or a council crew is already on their way to clean it up. Sometimes the mess is so severe that I cant even do that It's so undignifying for a poor animal to be in that state and would be very distressing for any owner, especially a kid to come and find them like that. I also call our council immediately to come clean it up. I live bordering a rural area - so its more the case of cats being killed by foxes in the night than hit by cars. This is one of the reasons why its actually the law to keep cats inside at night here, but some owners are irresponsible of course. Poor little things mtfbwya

The Sith'ari
I have a dog named Taylor, he looks exactly like Darth333's. Oops, it's a cats thread. Ok... I have mixed feelings about cats. Positively, they have personality, unlike dogs. Negatively, they scare me sometimes with those eyes and claws. Maybe I'll give 'em a try someday. But now I'll just stick with my schnowza (never know how to spell it).

Have a look at the above pic of my bengal Kimba, if he chooses to he can look positively frightful and give you a glazed over wild cat stare its funny, and a bit scary speaking of cats stares, check out these two, just a web pic, but I lmao every time I see it Its almost like a comic book picture, with their suspicious expressions They dont look happy with each other at all ! mtfbwya

Hayden Kered
I use to have some cats before I moved. The first one was just a kitten, I found it out in the corn feild next to our house. I caught it using tuna and kept it. We named her Kitten. A couple of weeks later an older cat, black and white, started to hang around. So we fed that one and named her Arwen. I think it was a year later, Arwen had already gone missing at this time, a old cat came to us bone skiny. We fed her and the next day she brought her 5 kittens to us before she ran off and died. We gave one to my cousin, its name was Bugar. Two, Snot and Tiger went missing. And the other two stayed around. One was male and all black, I named him Strider. The other was tiger striped and was named Sadi. After we took the new kittens in, Kitten ran off and we never seen her again. Another year passed and Sadi had kittens. They all died except one, and we named that one Gracey. Sadi then Had another litter with I think four more. I can only remember naming one of them. It was white so I named it Hoth. Gracey had four kittens, one died. The other three we named Zannah, Tiger, and Kodiak. Sadi had more kittens later but they got attacked over night by another animal. Thee were two other cats but we did not keep them for long. One was mental and meowed all the time. It got to the point it drove us nuts, so we took it to some one else. The other was a gray cat. I called it Lucky after it had crawled up inside our van and indured a 16 mile trip. It later got a tumor in it's left eye and died. Well That's my cat story. They were all outdoor cats, so when we moved we did not have to worry about finding them homes.
St. Jimmy
One was mental and meowed all the time. It got to the point it drove us nuts' date='[/quote'] Dude! I know a cat just like that! I can't remember his name but whenever I stay at my friends place, this cat is a skitz! I was sitting on the couch (which is about 5 feet from the door) and I was reading. Or at least, I was trying to. This cat would not shut up, it was at the door and Meow, Meow, meow.... Argh! So I let it in and it wanders around for a bit (still meowing) when it decides to just sit in the kitchen and freaking meow some more. So my mate gets up and feeds the damn thing, it ate the whole bowl, came back to where we were and started freaking meowing again. So we stood up to see what it wanted and it goes over to the door and continues meowing. We let it out. It wanders around outside for about ten seconds (just enough time for us to sit down again) and then it arrives back at the door, still meowing. We let it in and it FINALLY decided to shut up. It went to sleep on the floor. As much as I hate the thing, I love it. It's a nice cat (when it's not bitching) and it's absolutely beautifull. He's all grey tabby with a little bit of brown.
