Diego Varen
In case you haven't figured it out, The Lord of Pain is a Fanfic about Darth Sion, one of the Sith Lords from Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. This type of Fic has been done before by DarthSion101 in his Fic, Darth Sion - A Legacy of Pain. I'd like to thank him and his Fic for giving me the inspiration to write this Fic. Here is the Prologue. Star Wars - The Lord of Pain By Pottsie Prologue It all began here. The day, the day, the two dark lords of the Sith, Darth Sion and Darth Nihilus, left the Sith Triumvirate, in which they served. After this day, the Sith Triumvirate would no longer exist. Sion saw their master, Darth Traya, meditating alone in the heart of the Trayus Academy’s core. He could feel her dark power flowing within her, but his power was raging through his scarred body even more, raging like an uncontrollable thunderstorm on Malachor V. Sion and Nihilus had planned their betrayal. It would work. Both of them knew it would. The two Sith Lords approached their master, who stood up, as if alarmed by their presence. Sion nodded towards Nihilus, who immediately used the Force to violently push their master into a nearby pillar. Sion could feel her pain already, but she didn’t show the pain she had withstood. Her fall had caused her Lightsaber to unclip from her belt. Traya tried to use the Force to pull her Lightsaber back to her, but she wasn’t strong enough. Nihilus nodded to Sion and Sion knew what he had do. He walked up towards her and grabbed her face and clutched it tight. Traya was struggling to breath and Sion kept smacking her into the pillar behind her, before starting to punch her stomach. Sion became bored of beating his master up and he let her fall to the floor. She was lifeless, but both of the Sith Lords knew she wasn’t dead. She had been cast down, stripped of her power and exiled. From this day forth, Sion knew that both him and Nihilus would no longer work together from this day. Other than Traya, Nihilus had been the one to train Sion, but Sion had never needed Nihilus at all. Never. Silently, Nihilus walked away, leaving Sion with Traya’s lifeless body. Diego Varen
Very good Pottsie, although I don't particually like Sion, I look foward to seeing more chapters. Thanks steven. I'm hoping other people who don't like Sion, like CSI: Nihilus will read too. Thanks for the comments and this is a Prequel to my Sera Tana Saga, since this will star some of the characters from the Saga.
Diego Varen
Chapter I - An Old Friend One year had passed, since Traya’s exile from the Sith Order and Sion had remained on Malachor V since. He had no idea where Nihilus had gone, but he knew that he would be out there, somewhere, in the galaxy. Like Traya did, once before, Sion meditated in the heart of the Trayus Academy’s core, his dark power raging, through the cracks on his broken body. Sion had been incredibly bored, since he and Nihilus had exiled Traya. He had nobody worthwhile to kill. The Sith Assassins who served Sion had no use to him, since they didn’t prove any challenge. However, Sion thought that there was no need to kill the assassins anymore, since Sion would need them to do his bidding. One of the assassins had told Sion that the Republic cruiser, known as the Harbinger was on its way to Peragus Mining Facility. The mining facility was inside one of the many asteroids, formed by the blown-away portions of the now destroyed planet, Peragus II. Sion wouldn’t normally care about what the Republic was doing, but after hearing the name, Traya, Sion immediately got up from his meditation, his good eye opening. He decided to take the Harbinger over and find his old master. Sion stood up and left the Trayus Core. ***** Sion walked through one of the many grand hallways of the Trayus Academy, on his way to the hangar. The assassins would be able to look after the Academy, while Sion was away, but he had told some of them to come with him, just in case. When Sion found the door to the hangar, a familiar voice echoed across the Trayus Academy. “Lord Sion.” Sion immediately turned around and ignited his Lightsaber. The red blade shone around the room, illuminating a familiar person. An old friend. “Nauk Grelan,” Sion muttered angrily, “What are you doing here?” Nauk, the man in front of Sion, threw of his black robe and he ignited his Lightsabers, which were the same colour as Sion’s. “Let me see if your skill with the Lightsaber has improved,” Nauk told Sion, immediately leaping towards Sion. The fight had begun. Nauk began attacking Sion, with his Lightsabers. Sion was parrying every single attack, waiting for Nauk to leave his defence open, so Sion could injure him. Even if Nauk succeeded in beating Sion, Sion knew that Nauk wouldn’t be able to kill him. Sion was immortal and could die one hundred times, each time, he would return stronger than ever. Sion managed to knock one of Nauk’s Lightsabers away from him. As if it never happened, Nauk immediately used the Force to pull his Lightsaber back towards his hand. “Surely you can do better?” Nauk asked, in a mocking tone. “Not if I can help it, Twi’lek,” Sion replied angrily, immediately returning to defend himself. Nauk didn’t move, so Sion decided to attack first. As Sion charged into battle, Nauk immediately dodged, using one of his Lightsabers to stab Sion. Sion didn’t feel any pain and as if nothing happened, Sion pulled the Lightsaber out of his back and threw it back to Nauk. “You do realise that I can die one hundred times and become stronger each time?” Sion asked. “Of course I do, Sion,” Nauk told him, “I’m no fool. But one day, you will know what pain feels like when you’re killed by the hands of my old apprentice.” Sion immediately used the Force to speed himself up and punched Nauk in the face, forcing him the floor. Nauk tried to get up, but Sion held his Lightsaber at Nauk’s chin. “I’m defenceless, kill me!” Nauk shouted, “It is the way of the Sith.” Sion turned off his Lightsaber and returned it to his belt. “I won’t kill you Grelan,” Sion told Nauk, “You and I both know our strengths and weaknesses and we can use them to defeat our enemies. Get up!” Nauk got up and picked up his robe. “Traya is now known as Kreia, by the way,” Nauk told Sion, “And she won’t be the only person you’ll be after. There is the last of the Jedi. The Jedi Exile. Good luck.” Nauk ran off from the hangar, leaving Sion alone. He now knew that he had a new enemy. Sion walked towards one of the old Republic fighters and took off from Malachor V, ready to defeat his enemies, once and for all.

Diego Varen
Chapter II - The Harbinger In the middle of nowhere, the Harbinger was in sight. Before taking over the cruiser, Sion observed the Harbinger. There were no ships protecting it, in case anything tried to attack it, so Sion knew that getting onto the Harbinger would be easy enough. Sion sensed no life aboard the cruiser, but perhaps the Force was preventing him for some reason. He wondered if Kreia and the Exile were aboard, but Sion doubted it. It was time. Sion accelerated his fighter forwards, keeping away from the Harbinger as much as possible. Sion would get aboard the Harbinger from the back, so nobody would notice him on the Harbinger until it was too late. ***** As Sion landed his fighter in the unoccupied hangar, he waited for the assassins to land. He had told them his plan. He had told the assassins to remain hidden in the hangar, until Sion commanded them to leave and kill the crew on the Harbinger. While the assassins were in the hangar, Sion would pretend to die in front of a soldier, so they would take him to the medical bay. Then, Sion would wait until the time, he could escape and wait for Kreia or the Exile to find him. Sion knew the plan would work. He had faith in himself and his assassins. Now, that Sion was aboard the Harbinger, he paced around, waiting for a Republic soldier to notice him. It didn’t take long, before a soldier happened to pass through, so Sion began to play dead. He shouted out in pain, so he could get the soldier’s attention and he collapsed to floor, acting lifeless. “Man down, quick, call a medic!” The soldier shouted. Sion smiled to himself as he was taken away to the medical bay. ***** Two days had passed. Somehow, Sion knew that. He was inside a medical tank, as he suspected he would be. Sion noticed wires held him inside, pumping energy to him. Fools, Sion thought happily, little do they know that as they continue to heal me, my power grows stronger. Sion noticed that there was only several soldiers working. Sion knew that this was his chance to escape. But before escaping, Sion knew that the assassins had done what he had wanted them to do. Sion could sense the soldier’s fear. Sion forced himself out of the tank that held him captive, immediately alarming all the soldiers. All the soldiers ran out, leaving one soldier alone. Before she could run off, Sion walked towards her and immediately let his hand clutch around her neck. She was suffocating, gasping for air. “P… Please… D… Don’t hurt me!” She gasped, her eyes filled with tears, some of which poured down her face, “I… I’m a… Doc… Doctor… I tried to… Save you…” Sion ignored her begging, taking no pity on her, as he thought about Kreia and his will to destroy her. Sion noticed that the woman’s eyes were red from crying and she was gasping for air even more. “Ple… Please,” She begged, “Let me… Let me… Go!” Sion decided to do what she wished. His held on her remained, while he reached for his Lightsaber. He ignited his Lightsaber into her abdomen. The woman had no energy to even shout out in pain. Sion let her go, before leaving the medical bay and he walked off, towards the bridge of the Harbinger, where he killed every single soldier with one stroke of his Lightsaber. He would wait there, until the Harbinger docked next to the facility. He knew now that Kreia and the Exile were aboard the facility and Sion knew that they would eventually enter the Harbinger. Kreia had always scolded Sion for not being resourceful, but this had proved her words wrong. Soon master and apprentice would reunite and words would be spoken. Diego Varen
Chapter III - Master and Apprentice Reunited In the bridge, while Sion meditated, the Harbinger had entered hyperspace, arriving at the bleak facility. While he mediated, he stretched out with the Force, sensing Kreia aboard the facility. Also aboard the facility were three others. Sion knew that one was the Exile. Sion wondered what the Exile was like. Was he still a Jedi? Did he still care about the teachings in which he still served? Did he care for others? Or does he no longer care? Sion didn’t care about anything else, just as long as Kreia and the Exile made it to the Harbinger. An hour later, Sion sensed Kreia’s presence approaching. Sion knew what he had to do. He left the bridge and retreated towards the Engine Deck, which was above the Crew Quarters and the Command Deck. ***** Sion waiting patiently, which was the one thing Sion didn’t have. Kreia and the Exile were near, but Sion could sense someone else with them. Sion could hear the turbolift, echoing up towards the Engine Deck. Sion had to hide. Sion ran and hid behind some boxes, to the right of him. Sion knew that Kreia would sense him through the Force, but she wouldn’t care. She wouldn’t tell the Exile. Soon, Sion would reveal himself to his old master. The turbolift doors opened and Kreia, a man and another female entered. They walked slowly upwards, before the man stopped. He seemed agitated for some reason. Sion wanted to know why. “I have a bad feeling about this,” The man told Kreia and his other companion. The female with them was the Exile. Sion felt like such a fool. He thought the Exile was male, but Sion sensed the echo of the Force within her. The man with them was also Force Sensitive, but not as much as Kreia and the Exile. “What’s wrong Atton?” The Exile asked. “Can’t you feel it?” Atton asked, more agitated then before, “Something is going to go real bad, real quick!” “Nothing will go wrong,” The Exile told him, “Let’s get going.” “Alright, but don’t say I didn’t warn you,” The man told them. The three of them ran off and Sion left his hiding place. He walked out and the three of them heard Sion. They slowly turned round to see Sion. He could sense their fear for him and he saw their shocked expressions at seeing him. Kreia was the only one not to fear him as she got out her Plasma Torch. Plasma Torch. What happened to her Lightsaber? Sion thought mockingly, this will be too easy. Kreia turned to the Exile and Atton. “This battle is mine alone,” She told them, “I’m not defenceless.” She walked towards Sion, before returning her watchful gaze to her two companions. “He cannot kill, what he cannot see,” Kreia told them, “And power blinded him long ago. Run! I shall be along shortly.” The Exile and Atton did what she said and ran off. Kreia walked towards Sion. She had changed. Her black robe had changed to the brown robe, which Jedi wore and her once black eyes, were now white. Sion turned around and waited for his master to approach him, before speaking to her. “I sense you my master,” Sion began, “Faint… Weak… You are difficult to kill.” Kreia walked towards Sion more, before speaking again. “Your senses betray you,” She whispered, “As you betrayed me. To have fallen so far and learned nothing. That is your failure.” Sion smiled, gritting his teeth. He turned to see her. “The failure is yours!” He shouted, “No longer do your teachings whisper within my skull, no longer do I suffer beneath the teachings that weaken us,” His voice became calmer as he continued, “And now you run in search of the Jedi. They are all dead, save one. And one can’t stop the darkness that is to come.” Kreia smiled. “Perhaps,” She began, “We shall see.” Sion ignited his Lightsaber, immediately turning around to sever Kreia’s left hand from her wrist. As her hand and only weapon fell, Kreia collapsed to the floor, without shouting out in pain. Sion stood tall above her. Now he, was the master. Kreia looked up at Sion. “What will you do now Sion?” She asked, “Will you hurt me? Kill me? You’ve already cast me down and suffered indignities that you could not imagine. For all I taught you Sion, you learned nothing. Luckily, the Exile, Sera Tana will succeed with my teachings, like Revan did before you...” Sion interrupted Kreia’s speech, by kicking her to the floor, before returning his Lightsaber to his pocket. “Don’t ever mention his name again, you manipulative, old witch!” Sion shouted, “I’ve always been stronger than Revan and I’ve always been you’re strongest apprentice. But your teachings are nothing and now you are nothing more than a pawn of the Republic. If you can escape the Harbinger, then you, the Exile and anything else that means so much to you will die. Goodbye Kreia.” Sion walked off, ready to leave the Harbinger. If Revan’s name was mentioned by anyone, Sion’s blood would boil through his veins. He knew that he still lived, somewhere in the galaxy, but he couldn’t be bothered to find Revan. Not until he had killed Kreia and everything that was so precious to her. He and the Assassins left the Harbinger ready for whatever Sion planned next. The ways of the Sith had done Sion well indeed.

Diego Varen
Great fic. Looking forward to more. Although, where you said Kreia pulled out her plasma torch to confront Sion, didn't she pull out a vibrosword? Oh yeah, well in my games, I always equip Kreia with a Plasma Torch, until we manage to find *some* Lightsabers. Thanks for the comments and CSI, I'm sure that this won't finish early. This Fic will also show some of Sion's past. Edit: In DarthSion101's Fic version, his Kreia attacked Sion with a Lightsaber, so I thought it would be okay for Kreia to use a Plasma Torch. It's nice to have some variety. Edit 2: In my Fic, there will be a scene of Vash's death by Sion, but not like this scene I found on YouTube. Another scene that I will write about is the cut content of Nihilus beating Sion up, but I'll make it less embarrassing for Sion. looks good and it stars Sion and some other of my favourite characters more. And finally, here is a video of one of the scenes I've written in this Fic, from the game. The only difference is that the Exile is male, not female. Diego Varen
A very short Chapter. It is one of two flashbacks of Sion's life before TSL. Chapter IV - End of the Sith Academy Four years ago, on the Sith planet of Korriban, Sion was a young prospective student at the Sith Academy. He was just a normal man, back then. Master Uthar Wynn had always respected him and Uthar’s favourite apprentice, Yuthura Ban had taught Sion how to use a Lightsaber to the best of Sion’s ability. Those days were over. Someone had killed Uthar and Yuthura’s whereabouts were unknown. Sion was angry, but not as much as some of the other students there. The students turned against each other, ready to claim the Sith Academy for themselves. There were two arrogant students who vowed to take over the Academy. They were Angelus and Kodai. Both men were friends of Sion. Both Angelus and Kodai wanted to rule the Sith Academy, but like all Sith, they didn’t want to share their power. Some students decided to work under Angelus, while others decided to work under Kodai. The problem was that Sion couldn’t decide who to serve. “Serve me Sion!” Angelus shouted. “No Sion, follow me!” Kodai shouted. Sion didn’t know who to follow. He liked both men, but he would be betraying one of them, whoever he decided to follow. He shouldn’t worry really, since he was a Sith, but when his two friends were the leaders, he couldn’t decide. He had only one choice. A choice that he would follow for the rest of his life. “I serve no one,” Sion told them, “Only myself.” “If you weren’t follow anyone’s leadership,” Angelus began, “Then you shall die.” “You shall not kill him fool!” Komai shouted, “We can’t waste our army on him, we must fight.” “Then so be it,” Angelus told him, a Sith Civil War beginning. Sion ran off into the Shyrack Caves to leave Korriban. He had no reason to stay on Korriban. The Sith would kill themselves, leaving Korriban to be a desolate place. Diego Varen
These are all the Chapters I've done so far. So this will be the last Chapter for a while. Chapter V - Becoming a Sith Malachor V. Sion hadn’t been to Malachor, since he had fought in the Mandalorian Wars. It hadn’t changed. It’s thunderstorms still echoed in the distance and the native Storm Beasts still prowled around the rocky terrain. One thing that Sion hadn’t suspected was a thunderstorm bringing his ship down onto the terrain. Sion felt his ship crushing him as Sion rolled out down the mountain and the ship rolling on top of him. ***** “Awaken.” Ouch, Sion thought, who is speaking? Sion opened his eyes. He couldn’t see anything. His vision had been blacked out. “Awaken.” The voice had echoed again. Who’s voice was that? Was it the Force? “Awaken.” Sion’s vision finally returned to normal and he saw an old woman above him. She had black eyes and her black robe made her very mysterious indeed. “Who… Who are you?” Sion asked. “I am Traya,” She told Sion, “I am your rescuer, as you are mine.” Rescuer? When did Sion rescue her? “Do you recall what happened?” Traya asked, as she helped Sion to his feet. What happened? Sion tried to remember. He tried to remember his uneventful escape from Korriban. He had ran through the Shyrack Caves and he had found a workable ship, which he had taken to here. To Malachor. Sion sighed as he noticed the old woman’s gaze upon him. “Yes, I remember what happened,” Sion told Traya. ***** Traya had let Sion stay in the Trayus Academy, which had resided on Malachor for thousands of years. Traya had told Sion that he would meet one of her apprentices. She knew that Sion was a promising Sith apprentice and she had told him that she would be honoured to train him. However, since she didn’t have much time to train him or her other apprentice, she wanted Sion to meet her other apprentice. He wore a mask and like Traya, he wore a black robe. “Sion, this is my apprentice, Darth Nihilus,” Traya told Sion. Nihilus spoke rapidly in an unknown language. “Why does he speak like that?” Sion asked. “Oh, learning the ways of the Sith has its drawbacks, like the ways of the Jedi,” Traya told Sion, “This is the time where you prove to me that you’re a powerful Sith. Kneel.” Sion did what Traya told him and he knelt on his right knee. “What would you have me do, Lord Traya?” Sion asked. “I want you to go into the depths of Malachor and find the great Storm Beast,” Traya told Sion, “The great Storm Beast will be a worthy adversary. Only one of my many apprentices has managed to complete the task. Lord Revan. Retrieve Revan’s Lightsaber from the great Storm Beast and you shall join me in our great order.” “This task will be too easy,” Sion told Traya, “I shall leave immediately.” ***** After an hour of searching, Sion found the great Storm Beast, asleep. It was a lot bigger than the normal Storm Beasts, twice the size in fact. Sion knew that the Storm Beasts could sense Humans around, but not in the way the Force did. Sion tried to use the Force to pull the Lightsaber out of the stone, but it was stuck in the stone, so Sion knew that he would have to use his strength to pull it out. Sion walked forwards, towards the stone and tried to pull the Lightsaber out. No luck. Sion knew that there was only one thing he could do. Use his own Lightsaber to get the Lightsaber. It would wake the great Storm Beast up, but Sion had no other choice. Sion ignited his Lightsaber and cut the stone up, so it let a small piece with the Lightsaber stuck in the stone. Sion heard a loud roar behind him. It was the great Storm Beast. Suddenly, the second Sion turned around, the great Storm Beast knocked Sion backwards into a pillar, before getting thrown into a green lava river. Sion shouted out in pain, but nobody could hear his screams, not while he was in the depths of Malachor. Sion knew that he would have to try and call Traya threw the Force, before becoming unconscious. “Help, me…” ***** “Awaken.” Not again, Sion thought as one of his eyes opened. One eye? What happened to his other eye? When Sion’s eye got used to his surroundings of the Trayus Academy, he noticed his skin had become scarred. He also found out why he only had one eye. He had lost his other eye and it had become a white pupil. “You used me!” Sion shouted. “Of course I did,” Traya told Sion, “It was all part of your test. My only success, Revan, could complete this task. You’re part of the Sith Order, but you need to be trained. And with this task, I trust Nihilus.” As Traya and Nihilus left the Trayus Core, Sion felt himself become angry. “When I become strong again, I shall kill you Revan! I shall hunt you down and destroy everything that means something to you!”
